The staff were great, very friendly and very helpful. The Sri Lankan breakfast was yum, and the Sri Lankan dinner was divine (both need to be requested in advance but well worth it!) Lovely landscaped gardens and greenery. A short stroll or tuk tuk ride to the beach, with plenty of stalls, bars, cafes and restaurants on the way.

We stayed at Nooit Gedacht for 3 nights during the low season and got 5 star treatment. The place was kept at the highest standards, despite us being the only guests at the time. Pools, gardens (with lots of widlife), food and of course the ayurveda treatments, it was all perfect. The location is also great - just a few minutes walk from Unawatuna beach, but enough to have some peace - and there is a pleasant walk over the hill to a little village and a quiet little bay called Jungle Beach. The beach was close. It was clean. The staff were polite. The boss, Mr.Teddy was very accommodating and friendly. It was under renovation so I can't give much comments on the comfort. I believe it will look good after the works. There was a splendid temple up the nearby hill, which overlooks the Indian Ocean, which was simply fabulous. -
