  Stayed with my family and had a lovely time. Superb service and opens up to one of the best beach stretchs in Sri Lanka which is safe even for kids to enjoy.   Mangrove Villa is a unique getaway from most other places. With only 6-7 rooms, it is private and far away from touristy traps. Situated on the side of the river and home to King Fishers and lazy Water Monitors, I could relax and refresh myself. My favourite place was sitting by the river and watch the river go by..... The staff were very helpful,... what people say » considerate and accommodating, including making special meals suited to my preference. Be prepared to enjoy tasty and healthy traditional Sri Lankan - very quiet and isolated location, a bit of a distance to the nearest village or the beach. Hotel has its own tuktuk though. Very clean, though the non-A/C cottage I rented was rather basic. Very good food, and a very friendly and helpfull owner. An excellent choice for those who look for a quiet and peaceful retreat on the banks of the river Bentota.
