all reviews » Casual Hostel was definitely unique, in a good way. Never met any staff, as the entrance was automated with an ATM type machine to get the key. The decor of the rooms is very fun, and gives a good vibe. The room was clean and the bed huge and comfortable. Nice mini-muffins by the bed on entry and nice printed directions to sites and transportation provided. Great value. The hostel is for sure special, with their original rooms. The location is a bit out of the city center, but we walked to the center. Also, we rented the bikes in the hostel and that was the best decision of our stay, it was fun discovering Valencia by bike. The staff was friendly and helpful and we liked little attentions such as the welcome letter and muffins in the room. We loved our stay at Casual Hostel, it was so much more than we expected! The room was amazing (they're all themed), there were muffins and a welcome note & map in our room, with recommended places to visit in the city. Room was clean, cleaned everyday, brilliant comfy bed, ac, just generally really pleased!. The place looks fabulous... Rooms are big and unique, very clean and nice smelling. There were some cookies waiting for us, a map and a letter with all the important info about the place and the are. We were extremely pleased of our stay and enjoed every minute of it! Just a small downside: it is not located at the city center (there is a tram station at a 5-10 minutes walking distance). No hay restaurante en el hotel pero sí varios cafés y restaurantes en el entorno. Shower door didn't close well. Bathroom cleanliness could have been better. No glasses provided in the bathroom. The shower was so small, I could barely bend over in it and even with the doors closed, there was water covering the floor at the end of the shower. Didn't like having to drag my suitcases up the stairs. It was a bit far from the city center, but what do you expect at these prices? Better directions for contacting someone and a schedule for when someone would be on site for help would have been nice. 1) location - a bit far from the city center (30-40 minutes on foot), although the tram station is nearby, the last tram goes before 00:00. 2) on the second day the shower in the ladies' room broke and was not fixed till departure. Maybe, just maybe a little to far from the city centre! Around 20-25 minutes walk! Families with children might find it too far. For others, unless it's cold and miserable it shouldn't be a problem! If I'm to be picky, the noise from other rooms and corridor is easily heard inside. Few pints before sleep should sort that out ;-). The shower cabin is small, but the bathroom is fine!. Only gripe might be the shower, which is very small. Not much around the hostal in the evening, so make sure you eat and drink before if you get there late!. everything is fine. The shower was a litle bit small. 5 minutes walking from metro station. 1 minute for bus stop. neighbors. aroma smell in hotel and room small shower thin walls. the toilet was far from my room . Didnt like the location, the shower was so tiny that my boyfriend could not take a shower. The room looked very tired.
