Our stay at the B&B La Rectoria was wonderful! I stayed there with my boyfriend and my parents and their friends who were on holiday from Canada. The place was warm and inviting with all the creature comforts of home. The hosts, Roy and Goretti, were super welcoming and helpful and went out of their way to make sure our stay with them was an exceptional one. all reviews » La Rectoria is recently renovated by hosts Roy and Goretti. It retains its charm and history but is transformed into a comfortable and stylish retreat. We would have extended our stay if room had been available. Roy is a very good chef offering a menu of the day. The hotel is right on the via verde walking/cycling track and there is plenty to do in the local area. Roy and Goretti were marvellous hosts and couldn't have been more welcoming. The Rectory is a gem and the location superb if you want to get away from it all and explore the Garrotxa area. Food was great being lovingly prepared by Roy. Looking forward to getting back again when the swimming pool is up and running. A beautiful spot with great food from Roy and total relaxation; we even got to enjoy the brand new pool. The house has been restored with some lovely touches, the church is enchanting and the hosts friendly and welcoming. Roy and Goretti are lucky people to live here and I would highly recommend visiting them. We had only one day staying, but it was enough for us to understand we would be back! Great place, very, very hospitable and kindly hosts Roy and Goretty. Delicious supper cooked by Roy and wide range of scotch -- thats what i need at the end of a day!. Roy the chef is a faboulous cook serving traditional meals at budget friendly prices , his wife adds the charm to make one feel very welcome. We booked this place on a whim and were very happy we did. The location is beautiful, the food excellent, the rooms great and Roy and Goretti are fantastic hosts. We liked the food, location, cleanliness, attention to detail, personable hosts with lots of information available about the area. The hosts are very friendly and welcoming, they make you feel at home. The area is verdant and peaceful. Friendly owners making it a very personal experience in a beautiful old building with excellent food. Nothing. It would have been nice to have had the opportunity of a pre dinner drink. Nothing. Not a dislike, but we would have liked to have tea/coffee making facilities in one of the lounges during the day.
