Everything was really good, great welcome but language can be a problem because English is very limited. Wifi is very good and free but check the little ticket with username and password because it's in english and we were given 30 minute access to start and it was quite difficult to explain to the very helpful receptionist (?) that she had not given us the 24 hour passes that she intended to. all reviews » The hotel is in a quiet location just outside the town. It has a relaxing setting with terrace and pool in its own garden. Staff were friendly and helpful. The best reason for staying here is so you can eat at Le Deu restaurant, not part of the hotel but at the end of the garden. There are several set menus; the 12 euro menu is good value and wonderful quality. The town of Olot was just a short/15 min walk away. No steep climbs. Great value restaurants near by. The hotel was a relaxed place to stay...you got the luxury of clean sheets, fresh towels and bar facilities, yet you could be as independent and private as you wanted. It was a wonderful base from which to explore La Garotxa. We loved being close to Olot while staying in the middle of the nature preserve that surrounds Can Blanc. The staff was lovely and attentive, and we really enjoyed our stay. beautiful grounds and structure adjacent Olot and volcanic adventures. La Deu is an excellent restaurant accessible via a manicured and lit lawn. Its position in wooded countryside plus the close excellent restaurant nearby that was good value for money. The surroundings of the hotel are beautiful. Half an hour walk from the city center (but very dark at night!), surrounded by forest (and yet conveniently located between two restaurants). The hotel is located in a green small forest, very nice and quiet which gave us a very relaxing feeling. Free wifi and parking. Gardens. Nothing really - the breakfast is not bacon and eggs but it's what's normal in that region and included in the price. Slightly long walk (20-30 mins) to town if you need to - but you'd eat at Le Deu. Pool could be a bit bigger. No tea or coffee making facilities in the room. No problems really. It is a few km from Olot - too far to walk for a trip at night. Only one restaurant nearby. n/a. Absolutely nothing. Our room was very hot and stuffy, and the air-conditioning was broken (which we only noticed after blowing in hot air for a while). Breakfast was okay, but not very appealing (e.g. dried-up slices of pineapple). Nothing. The room was dense the bad was too small for a mature couple. The breakfast was poor and the buffet was uninviting. Tired fabric and furnishings. Limited service.
