Located in the heart of downtown, Villa Oniria is a beautiful small hotel, artfully appointed with noticable attention to detail. The contemporary design, imbued with old-world style creates an inviting, warm and comfortable environment. Our room on the top floor was lovely, intimate, comfortable and quiet as it faced the garden, away from the street side. The staff was very friendly and helpful.
all reviews » Tthe hotel is new; our two rooms and bathrooms were very clean, roomy and beautifully furnished; the bed and pillows were very comfortable; the air-conditioning worked well; the location was very good and easy to get to from a major plaza. The public areas (lounge, bar) were nicely appointed and very restful. We really enjoyed the Villa Oniria and would definitely stay there again.I rank in the top 5% of all Hilton Hotel Diamond Members worldwide. Iwas initially reluctant to move out of the fold. After staying at theVilla Oniria, I can only wonder why didn't I do this sooner. I hate tolet the cat out of the bag as I will want to stay there again, but thishotel is the gem of Andalusia. I've paid a lot more for 5 star qualitylike this - the best!!. Everything !!! Beautiful hotel, the room was quite nice, and there weregreat cotton linens on the bed, complete with a down comforter. Theshower was not your typical low pressure European shower. I had a greatnight's sleep, because even though it is in the heart of the city, itwas very quiet when the door was closed. Loved this hotel - highlyrecommend it.I have stayed in many hotels all over Europe but the location and the rooms were one of the best. The staff were very very helpful, the cleaning staff put clean towels in twice a day and turned your bes down and left linen mats to step on. 10 out of 10. The food was first class. This was one of the most delightful hotels I have stayed in. The young staff were superbly helpful, efficient and friendly. the facilities are excellent and we were wonderfully cared for. The location is good and the rooms very comfortable and quiet. It was lovely!. It was very peaceful and relaxing although we did not use the dining facilities as there was so many options outside the hotel. the maid service was extremely attentive. (twice daily) and we were even given heart shaped chocolates on Valentines Day!. Having stayed at a lot of hotels, this was excellent, and the rate made it even better for this standard. Behind the uninteresting and ordinary facade lay an extremely tastefully decorated and appointed interior. It was a pleasure when moving around the hotel to take in the architecture, the fountain and the artwork. It was a joy to sit in the beautiful garden in the midst of the city centre during a warm sultry evening. The bedrroms were also tasteful and well appointed. The Villa Oniria obviously prides itself on attention to fine detail from the elegance of its guest rooms to its very beautiful public areas. Guests are greeted by the sensual aromas of vanilla scented candles and an open log fire both creating a beautiful and tranquil ambience. This is a really special initimate hotel with an excellent team of dedicated staff.Beautiful room with really luxurious bathroom and a very comfortable bed. We were fortunate to get upgraded to a junior suite but all rooms look great from what we saw. The staff were helpful in booking restaurants and there is a lovely outdoor bar area for sipping cava on balmy summer evenings!. The staff took the worry out of parking my hire car for me, especially as Granada has very narrow streets and it is very easy to drive the wrong way up a one way street.Ana, the receptionist was our first point of contact at the hotel was extremely pleasant and very helpful, pointing out places of interest and bus times etc. the hotel is very easy to find, the villa has been converted with great attention of details, staff has been very helpful, the decor was very nice.The charge for use of the pool. It hard to find, especially by car. But then, diamonds and jewels arenot found on common streets. We found the real treasure of Grenada here.The "garden" is really a patio, although very pleasant with fountains, grass and excellent seating. Only comment, and not a complaint, was that we were not able to eat in the restaurant as it was fully booked on both evenings.The dinner was quite pricey and the portions small, although the food itself was amazing. The heating/cooling system in our room seemed to stay at a constant hot temperature. The parking was a bit tricky. Had to leave the car with the hotel to park, and we had to pay for the parking. But as the hotel is very central, and taxi's cheap, we just parked it there and forgot about it. Sadly, my reason for going to Granada has ended. Last week, I could hardly get the room I wanted, so maybe telling you lot how good this place is becomes self defeating. Enjoy.twin beds. would have preferred a door on the bathroom. No complaints. the lovely outside area was taken over one night by an cruise line exhibition so we could not use it.didnt realize that not all rooms come with bath.Breakfast was not brilliant and ery expensive. Television sound did not work and the air conditioning could have worked a bit better. Just a small point, would have been lovely to have tea/coffee facilities in room and option of at least one british tv channel. room a/c could have been more effective. I did not succeed in getting wireless access even though it was offered. difficult to find. Perhaps a little bit far from the historic centre. The service in the restaurant was excellent - the food was mediocre. Small points really. I wanted to quickly press a shirt before going out in the evening but the hotel had no iron facilities. One had to pay to have this done and it was quite expensive. The bedrooms at the front should also have net curtains for privacy purposes. It wasn't very clearly explained that there is a charge for the spa facility (Its worth it though - amazing jacuzzi). The breakfast-options were a little disappointing for the price.We stayed 5 days and the selection was small without any variety. Needs more signs eg where was the swimming pool ?. I don't think the hotel should charge for the use of the swimming pool.
