Modern hotel with spacious rooms, clean and very comfortable, high quality fixtures and good shower. Reception staff friendly enough. Location was fine, caught Bizkaibus outside Airport Terminal straight to Centre (get off 2nd stop) and 10 minute walk to the Hotel. There are lots of bars and restaurants nearby at reasonable prices. Very nice stay for a weekend break, all attractions within reasonable walking distance.
all reviews » This Hotel is an upscale modern facility set in a grand old building. It is centrally located in downtown Bilbao walking distance from everything and anything. The hotel would best be characterized, at least subjectively, as business luxury: it is luxurious but not plush. Lastly, it was a very good deal through letsbookhotel.com during the period we stayed. Highly recommended for top level comfort. Liked the design and decor of the hotel and it was very tranquil despite it's size. Room was spacious, bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was 'spa-like'. It was a very restful place to stay. Unfortunately the weather was bad so I didn't get to avail of the sun terrace - which was the primary reason I had booked this hotel and not a more budget option. nice, modern room, comfortable bed and good bathroom. helpful receptionists. To find look for signs of the Casino as hotel shares a building with them and their name is easily overlooked. parking facility very convenient. good location near department store and walking distance to Guiggenheim. A public, but very secure, car park is only minutes away from the enterance of the Hotel, 36 euros for two nights. Very comfortable and friendly. While the area is stylish and comfortable and I was quite happy with that, I wouldn't recommend the hotel to anyone looking for a lively atmosphere or more potential interaction. The bedrooms would benefit from tea/coffee making facilities. It would have been good to have coffee making facilities in the room. Found this hotel to be soulless but would recommend for location. Not sure they needed to put glass panels in the bathroom, disturbs your partner if you turn on the light in bathroom during the night. Out of the ten hotels we visited on our trip to Northern Spain this was the only one that insisted on seeing our passports before we checked in. When on a motorbike you just want to get to your room and de-robe and then sort out the paper work. Lack of attention to cleaning and decoration around the shower area of the bathroom which in every other respect was excellent. Took a long time to get to it due to the one way systems in the City. Even "locals" found it near impossible to direct us by car to the train station which was near to the hotel. I'll think of something....no. Hard to fault anything. Gym was very small, though adequate if only a couple of people using it. Expencive breakfast, expencive coffee. Toilet location in our bathroom could have been better located and access is not very easy given that you seat in front of the sink which is only a few centimetres away!. No drawers at all in the room. Only a wardrobe and one shelf for clothes/shoes etc. Wardrobe also overhung the stairs making it difficult to use. Couldn't stay for longer than a couple of nights at most. They don't take parking reservations for some reason. Would have been easier if they did. Nothing!. Restaurant could remain open a bit later. Breakfast a little poor, the lobby at the second floor makes you feel in a motel but these are details, I would go back with no fear. nothing - loved it!. Price of the breakfast, however there are so many delicious bakeries and cafés in the neighbourhood, that at the end we didn't mind skip the hotel breakfast. Nothing. breakfast room too small; room rather warm. Beds could have been better quality. Mattress should have had a mattress cover under the sheet. Having to use the lift from street level to get to reception. Couldn't work out how to use the air-con - if it was working. But we didn't need it so I didn't bother too much about it!. Breakfast is Far to expensive so didn't try it. Limited Cafe menu and was served chicken that was still frozen in centre!. They charged 6.50 + tax per day for parking. The girl that did the breakfast never spoke to us and then charged us for three breakfasts.
