cheaper than a number of boutique hotels that we had stayed in along the
Garden route, and was great value for money. My husband really enjoyed
the lesson he had with the golf pro and dinner at the Waterside

The wild mushroom was outstanding. We stayed for nearly three weeks and it fell like home. The manager could not have been more helpful and the staff were very helpful and friendly. The rooms were extremely comfortable and clean. Sitting by the swimming pool and looking at the view was wonderful. Did not want to leave and will defiantly be back soon

An amazing boutique hotel located in the high hills above Knysna. A car is essential given the intimidating walk! The main building which is more than one hundred years old is a converted family house hence the very cosy atmosphere.
We had ocean view rooms but the view of the magnificent grounds, pool and gardens is equally good.

The variety and quality of the breakfast buffet was excellent. The hosts and the staff were extermely friendly and helpful. The hotel has large and beautiful garden. The personal touches were very nice (e.g., turn-down service that included port). Check-in was incredibly efficient -- we were in our room within about 45 seconds. The location in downtown Stellenbosch is fantastic -- across the street from a beautiful church and just one block from dozens of cafes and restaurants. And, of course, it's convenient to tons of wineries. Breakfast was served promptly, was delicious, and included everything one could want. This is a great guest house.

It was my second time at this hostel and I came back three years later because I liked it. Apart from it being excellent for what is officially a backpackers place I really appreciate the attitude of owners and staff who are supporting community projects and take recycling seriously, something that is still not very wide spread in South Africa. Excellent Sandwiches and breakfast.

The house is beautifully decorated and great for a group as its self catering. Its a 2 minute walk from the bars, restaurants and beach in Camps Bays yet set far enough back to get great view
