  My experience at the hotel was everything and more than i expected. From the friendly staff, to the luxurious and spacious Villa, i can without a doubt say, this has been by far the best "home-away-from-home" establishment i have ever visited.Despite the fact that there arent any activities within the hotel, my friends and i still loved every mome... what people say » nt we spent there.... The ocean view was breathtaking, air so fresh, this sure was thee perfect getaway destination and certainly the best destination - We left a cable behind and they called us to say it was left behind.   Manaar House is definitely one of the best places to stay in Durban/Umhlanga. We stayed there for three nights in the self Catering Apartment. The a/c duplex unit was extremely spacious, spotlessly clean, nicely furnished and well maintained. Not a single word of criticism worth mentioning here, except maybe that it is located pretty close to the ... what people say » motorway, so having breakfast on the large roof terrace might become a bit noisy. But the best thing to report was the warm, generous and very welcomi - As a couple with young kids, it was an absolute dream staying at Manaar House as it was so kid friendly that our kids did not want to go out because of the toys provided in our section of the house! They had so much fun & were so comfortable and as parents, that mattered most to us. The views from the kids rooms were phenomenal & they absolutely loved it!   We had the most amazing idyllic view from our balcony. The inn has seen its better days but it's wonderful still, beautiful gardens not fenced or gated like most other hotels in South Africa.   We spent 6 nights at Africa Regent while holidaying in Durban, and cannot fault it! The grounds are beautiful, the room immaculate and the wonderful hosts, David and Pam, are friendly and attentive. Little touches made for a delightful stay, like David kindly preparing sun loungers for us when we said we were having a lazy day, and our room being ... what people say » made up on a day when we'd left it particularly late in the afternoon, and didnt expect it. The bar is fantastic and we spent happy evenings playing d - The welcoming was good despite the fact that I arrived very late past check-in time. The elderly guys(managers) were very hospitable n friendly. The rooms were very clean, felt homely. Breakfast was lovely freshley prepared. I would definitely go back there some time in the near future.

  The grounds were beautifully kept. Staff very friendly and helpful. Value for money. Great breakfast. I enjoyed my short stay. - It was very close to where I needed to be. For work and for only 1 or 2 nights it was perfect.

Little Eden made it really easy to enjoy - their staff are friendly, always happy to help and willing to bend over backwards for you. The accomodation was lovely! We stayed on the top floor and enjoyed a stunning view of the Estuary and Ocean every morning. One night, we even had a hippo wander into the garden - amazing to see - but a little scary at the same time.
