  My experience at the hotel was everything and more than i expected. From the friendly staff, to the luxurious and spacious Villa, i can without a doubt say, this has been by far the best "home-away-from-home" establishment i have ever visited.Despite the fact that there arent any activities within the hotel, my friends and i still loved every mome... what people say » nt we spent there.... The ocean view was breathtaking, air so fresh, this sure was thee perfect getaway destination and certainly the best destination - We left a cable behind and they called us to say it was left behind. A small item was important to them.

  Manaar House is definitely one of the best places to stay in Durban/Umhlanga. We stayed there for three nights in the self Catering Apartment. The a/c duplex unit was extremely spacious, spotlessly clean, nicely furnished and well maintained. Not a single word of criticism worth mentioning here, except maybe that it is located pretty close to the ... what people say » motorway, so having breakfast on the large roof terrace might become a bit noisy. But the best thing to report was the warm, generous and very welcomi - As a couple with young kids, it was an absolute dream staying at Manaar House as it was so kid friendly that our kids did not want to go out because of the toys provided in our section of the house! They had so much fun & were so comfortable and as parents, that mattered most to us. The views from the kids rooms were phenomenal & they absolutely loved it!   We had the most amazing idyllic view from our balcony. The inn has seen its better days but it's wonderful still, beautiful gardens not fenced or gated like most other hotels in South Africa.   We had the most wonderfull appartement we ever had in South Africa. We were staying in number 32? It was Zabia her appartement really beautifull...   We stayed 8 people in the apartment with a huge terasse with a great view over the forrest and the sea in the background. Just beneath is the great and clean pool and a little garden. Bianca was very helpfull with information and loaning us maps for a safari trip to Hluhluwe Game Reserve. Little Eden made it really easy to enjoy - their staff are friendly, always happy to help and willing to bend over backwards for you. The accomodation was lovely! We stayed on the top floor and enjoyed a stunning view of the Estuary and Ocean every morning. One night, we even had a hippo wander into the garden - amazing to see - but a little scary at the same time.

  Apartments are nice and the manager very helpful and very nice, she goes all out to make sure you are comfortable. Ballito is not in a city area, it is a few minutes from airport so you go to Ballito to relax and enjoy a small town living and that is exactly what we got.
