The location of the hotel is perfect on the danube of the river. You can walk via small bridge and find a dozen of nice open air cafes and restaurants. There is a stop for the river-cruise-boat whichgoes to the Marina Bay. The staff were excellent and friendly. Location is great with a beautiful view of the river. The walking paths were very nice. The next time we are in Singapore we will certainly be staying at the Riverview Hotel.

We had to take taxi's everywhere, which was economical for four of us but wouldn't be so great for a solo traveller.
