Unlike the majority of hostels in SPb, Giggly hostel is recently renovated and clean. The staff is very helpful and friendly. There is a place next door where you can have a cheap meal. Moreover, it's easy to go to Peterhof from the hostel - the bus stop(Baltiysky vokzal), it will take you only 10 min on foot to get to the bus stop. The hostel was easy to find and not far from the metro. When I arrived, there were two very friendly women who spoke excellent English who showed me around. At about £14 a night for the 8 bed dorm it was excellent value, especially as I picked a quiet time and didn't have to share! Clean everywhere and free tea is always a bonus!.
