I first stayed at Ascott Hotel in December 2011 with my family. Booked two (2) Deluxe 2-bedroom suite for a group of 9 people. At first, I was worried that we will be over crowded. I was wrong. The bedrooms were spacious, good size living room and kitchen, excellent amenities. I also fell in love with this hotel because of location...it is right in the middle of everything…shopping, dining, museum, groceries, or just purely finding a walking trail. The buffet breakfast had good variety of choices and was tasty. Overall, our stay was extremely comfortable,relaxing and was a bargain at the price we paid for. The most remarkable advantage of this hotel is the location. It is located on top of Glorietta Mall and surrounded by all needed services from restaurant and cafes to bakery and grocery shops. Staff are friendly but not that helpful. Although rooms are Specious, big and clean with all required appliances (cloths washing Machine and dryer, Ironing board, water boiler) but not luxurious. The hotel restaurant is good also. I love the fact that Ascott is environmentally friendly with the use if separate bins for biodegradable and non biodegradable waste, the staff were an absolute pleasure, we were looked after well and kind. The smell of neighbors cocking reaches the room. Most of front desk staff were not helpful (but still friendly). Wifi is a bit flaky. Smelled sigarete in the apartment. Leaving. None. Needs refurbishment, decor is outdated. Nothing i did not like in the hotel. The quality of cards used for the elevator and rooms were not functioning well. I had a reservation for a unit of two bed room appartmant, but when i reached the hotel they informed me that my unit is not available due to renovation. They did gave me two units: one bed room appartmant and an studio with complemintry brakfast and internet connection for 5 persons. Also i sufured from the bed bug !!!. They changed the bed sheets and matress for me. Nothing. So many security, make you Sometimes scare, even my guest. Their people at front desk Very strait. The waiting time I had to pay to get my second apartment after long 9 hours flying!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!. Nothing. swimming pool is small and normal. Nothing. nothing. Breakfast menu is the same every day. Maid service does not exist. prices comparing to the room are high . front desk. made reservation smoking room but when check in not available only non smoking. No discount rate for senior like us, i think front desk employees are rude for local tourists. Discount for seniors must be implemented, otherwise you are violating the law!. there is no Sauna. House keeping not doing more than good we have to request somefree services like tesue paper and the drinking water. كاميرات على الرسبشين يشاهدك كل النزلاء حين تعمل شيك ان وهذا مخالف جدا للخصوصيه ..ولم اشاهد حتي في البلاد الاكثر تشددا امنيا الا في هذا الفندق ..غالبية سكانه عرب . مجملا الفندق كغرف لم يعجبني والسعر مبالغ فيه مقارنة بالفنادق الاخرى. Sorry about ascott makati I came to that hotel before its very clean but now it's very old furniture and it's not clean I cut my vacation after 5 dayes becs the hotel I complain many time there is no respons and he spray best control when I'm staying in the room.
