This hotel did not feel like an airport hotel - it was decorated so well, with interesting spaces and lots of light that it felt like we could have been in downtown Oslo. However, for the convenience of walking through a covered path directly into the airport the next morning, it was more than we hoped for. The main feature that excited us was the "small" breakfast. We had to leave at 4am for our flights, but they said they offer a special early early breakfast at 3:30 for us, but it's "small.".
all reviews » Spent 1 x night at the Park Inn at Gardermoen on business and enjoyed a great nights sleep. The staff were very friendly and helpful, while the room was comfortable and quite modern, although still quite small as you'd expect for an airport hotel. The restaurant was again quite modern, with my meal there very nice, while the range at breakfast was also quite broad catering for most. The meeting facilities were also very good, however quite pricey like most things in Oslo. Would definitely stay . The staff were wonderful! They went far beyond what was necessary. When my wife dropped a glove, she ran after us to return it. The room was very clean and comfortable, and the location right net to the airport was exactly what we needed. And the breakfast was the best we've had on a long trip. Could not have been better!. Very close to the airport, an easy 100 metre mostly covered walk, this is especially convenient for early morning or late evening flights. The staff are exceedingly polite, thoughtful and helpful. The breakfast and dinner services are great and reasonable value for money given the location. Rooms are spacious. Walking distance to terminal. Good breakfast selection. Free wifi. Vending machine for snacks and soft drinks (on my floor anyway) and tea & coffee making facilities in the room. Big hanging out area round reception with comfy chairs - great for killing time before your flight rather than in the airport. The room was quite nice, although the net curtains were hanging off their rails. The ambience in the restaurant (rbg Grill) was quite good, but the menu was a bit limited and the service was slow. The breakfast is the usual Norwegian buffet, but quite extensive. At the airport and far from Oslo. Good for layovers. It is a busy airport hotel. I have stayed here quite a few times and usually find the rooms very quiet, however, on this occasion I had neighbours on both sides and could hear quite a lot from both sides. I wonder if the doors need fixing to prevent noise travelling. No minibar in the room. Not much space for clothes in the room - few hangers, no drawers (ok for 1 overnight stop). Nothing really, except that the claimed 2 to 3 minutes walk to the terminal was obviously timed by an Olympic walker, it took us nearer eight minutes. Staff a little curt, short but very business like. Front desk short staffed. Not a budget option for a sleepover but no sensible alternative. Price of the room and food! But Norway is very expensive. No chance to warm up the room... The remote control had a strange behaviour and nothing happen. Queue to check-in even at the midnight. Shower was weird as it was open on one side. It was really hard to shower well without getting water onto the bathroom floor. We asked for a wake up call and it didn't happen. No hair conditioner/body lotion;shower water flooded bathroom. Breakfast buffet was disappointing for the price of the hotel, although there was a good variety of hot and cold items the pastries were not fresh and there was no espresso coffee option. Also, breakfast was supposed to be available from 5am, but the staff were still setting up at 5.15 and I was not impressed by one staff member reaching in front of me to arrange items while I was trying to serve myself. Parking was not free. In addition, we had to leave very early, and there was a very minimal breakfast. There should be some possibility of ordering a box breakfast for early departures. The room was quite hot and the air-conditioning did not go below 19c. Nothing to complain about - all very good. Price reasonable. - glass door to the shower - water on the flore after..... the information on the internet about where it is situated . Nothing. Horrifically expensive. Unfortunately only 1 mug and no whitener on hospitality tray. Not much atmosphere. No negative comments. Check-in always seems to create an issue with credit cards with no pin code and on earlier visits has taken close to 20 minutes. However, this time, the receptionist did a good job and the card worked on the second try only. On a more general basis. I am no big fan of the shower layout. There is always water all over the bathroom after a shower. Our room was for two people and on the first night we had only one duvet/blanket and did not realise until bedtime, however a member of staff brought one up immediately we realised. On the second night, we had only towels for one person and had to request a second set. Again, these arrived immediately. The price, a little bit expensive. Little bit expencive.
