We were disappointed that our two bedroom apartment only had one bathroom. Most have an ensuite off one in two bedroom apartments.

It is a unique hotel. I guess like living in an art gallery. So different from any other hotel we have stayed in. Beds and pillows so comfortable and the food was fantastic.

Lovely large twin room in the new apartment section. Loved the art works throughout the building. Everything we encountered was to a high degree of professionalism. The rooms were well equipped, very clean and modern and the staff extremely well drilled and professional.

We thought the building got a little hot at night & although the rooms have individual air con units these tend to be somewhat noisy while trying to sleep.

I think what makes this hotel,so unique is the outstanding original art collection. Amazing!

I thought the place was fabulous! My 11 year old and 17 year old were very happy and comfortable too! The location is excellent and we made use of the cafe and proximity to the museum and courtney place buses and eateries! Would definitely stay here again and even my husband enjoyed viewing all the various art works. 9.5/10

The main bathroom needed a slight clean down in the basin and the rubbish bins had no bags but the place was spotless and faultless elsewhere.

Est! Est! Est! From the quirky decor, the friendly staff who really understand service to the comfortable surroundings this hotel is a stand out in Wellington. In my experience no other hotel comes close.

The art everywhere in the hotel. I also loved that the beds in our twin room were both queen size, just because I am staying with a friend doesn't mean I want to sleep in a dinky little single.

It was a little warm overnights in the room, we had to use the air-conditioning (in Winter, in Wellington).

the check-in was excellent. the woman who checked us in was so very pleasant, but all the reception staff were pleasant, helpful and obliging. the service in hippopotamus was seamless, top-notch and the food great. a very pleasurable stay altogether. wished we could have stayed longer.

the lights in room 216 kept on dimming and then brightening - a faulty dimmer switch perhaps. made it dark in the room.

Bath was huge, shower great with the option of both monsoon or regular shower heads, bed massive and very comfortable. Awesome location, wanted to go for a harbour view room but left it a little late to book, all taken!

I loved the design features of the hotel. The staff were very friendly and professional. The location is great - close to attractions and a supermarket, restaurants etc.

The hotel room I was given was small and the basin in the bathroom was cracked and in a poor state. That room was overpriced in my opinion. The hotel staff happily relocated me to a much nicer roo in the apartment side.

We absolutely loved our stay at The Museum Hotel and didn't want to leave. I read so many varying reviews on the hotel before making the booking and after staying here can confidently say that it was one of the nicest places we have ever stayed. I don't know what other people can complain about. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Our one bedroom apartment was spotlessly clean and beautifully serviced each day. The beds were extremely comfortable and the room very quiet... Great for light sleepers. My daughter was there for a ballet competition and was able to make use of one of the conference rooms for practice, free of charge. The artwork was amazing and the decor beautiful. The motel was conveniently located and within easy walking distance to the main attractions of Wellington. We would love to return.

Great location, fantastic hotel except for my room,

Reception stall at checkout surly. I was waiting for the question " how was your stay" it never came neither did any communication. If asked, I would have said my room was overlooked by the swimming pool so that I had to keep my curtains closed at all times. I would have appreciated having had that pointed out to me at check-in, with an option to change.

It was very quiet and we had a good sleep. The mattresses were very good. The location was great.

The service was bad. Concierge often absent and nobody really cared. The free internet was either slow or overused and not available. the room had poor lighting.
