There are mountain bicycle trails with 100 metres of the property. The Remarkables ski area is a 40-minute drive away. There is on-site mountain bicycles available for rent, as well as bicycle washing stations and bicycle storage. The tour desk can book local activities including jet boating, bungee jumping and helicopter flights. The property also offers ski storage, and a guest laundry. This is a review of the family unit/ studio unit for 4 persons. This studio unit is very good value for money for 4 persons compared to another room we had also stayed in ( a private twin/ double for 3 persons which was rather cramped ). It is spacious, has parking just outside the unit and comes equipped with ensuite bathroom and a kitchenette. Excellent place to go with a large party as you can hire out all the rooms within one unit and consume alcohol from any hour throughout the day, unlike all the other hostel/backpackers that like to have a curfew, very close to town, very comfortable and stress free stay!! A++.
all reviews » the design of our ensuite , kitchen is fully equipped, the staff is so helpful and let us check in early as we were facing some difficulties with our bags that day . so she let us check in early , the house is clean, living room is cosy. totally worth what u are paying for!. We came in later in the evening and they were great to get us into our room quickly and give info on where to go eat. They had even upgraded us before we got there which was wonderful. The room was large and so was the bathroom. A great stay!. mountain bike friendly and centrally located. staff very helpful and knoledgeable.. and have a geniune interest in their guests. great views aruond the lodge and lots of space. i will return one day. Great location close to city center of Queenstown, Spacious rooms. Good outside facilities for relaxation, free 20 minutes internet, which actually worked. It was quiet and rooms and living space not too crowded. Staff very friendly and happy to help. Nice and warm and comfy beds. I liked the bungalow-type design, 3 bedrooms with its own kitchen and cosy living room, and balcony. Very friendly staff. Great price for location, clean, staff were really nice and helpful. Kitchen well equipped. Would stay again for sure. The staff was awesome in giving advice on what activities would be best. And the pizzas they make are brilliant!!. We had our own cottage, with a young family it was great to have our own space and it was an easy walk into town. Location is good and the place is quiet. Good location near Shotover street and a Fresh Choice supermarket, ample free parking. close to town. had enough heaters to keep warm. clean sheets. Nothing exceptional. the price. Wifi signal is poor and can only be accessed outside the unit. the tv in our room 1 (W1) , is not working, we have followed the instruction but it says no channel and no program . we watched tv in the living room in the end. going home as i wanted to stay. Cooking-Facilities (dishes) poor and the cooker in my room was not working. No separate bins to recycle in and no bowls in the kitchen. If unlucky, teenage-backpackers, obviously drunk, no respect for other guests sleeping, are shouting and yelling in the middle of the night. I guess this can happen anywhere but I wish the hotel/lodge would take more action against them. Our cabin and the surrounding ones needed some tlc...the one next door looked like some one had driven into it! Lock on the bathroom was broken too. Dripping water closet, kept me awake. Nothing really. The wireless internet did not reach into either of our rooms, we have to go to the common room of the unit to get connected. WIFI coverage is not has great. you'll have to walk down to reception to get better coverage. The only problem was the bed bugs that left us with some itchy bites and it wasn't Mosquitos (very cold at the time). Get this sorted and the management have a great place. Ad was misleading. The bedroom does not contain a tv or private patio. These are shared between everyone staying in the house. Inclined to be a little noisy with parties after 10.00pm and squeaky floors. No bed side tables with lights. Noise, crowd. Hard pillows. I had to leave a $10 deposit for my room key but the office was not open when I left at 7am to return my deposit. Other Guests a little noisy. The bed was uncomfortable, most probably in need of an upgrade. The accommodation was not as clean as we would have expected. The stairs creaked when walked on them which made it noisy for other residents. The fridge was small for up to 3 different groups of people. The beds only had thin quilts with no extra blankets in the cottage, it was a bit cold. The facilities of the room is old.And there is no heating system in the bathroom and washing room. It is a little bit cold in winter. room was in a house with others. expected to be separate. bunk beds not well designed you have to step on lower bunk to get into and out of upper bunk head room very limited. Poor (shared) facilities. narrow room, the bathroom was too small, i booked the 2 people room and they offered us a bunk bed room, my heads can hit the ceiling when i sit up. too many insects because the house is on the mountain. Bathroom shower curtains were smelly, kitchen was also not well kept ( though this is probably the fault of the guests as well ), room was tiny for 3 persons. first room - all 3 ground level windows had no lockablilty. no sound privacy between neighbouring unit. pots- 2 provided and one had a nail holding handle on dangerously other had lost all conductivity and wouldnt heat food. floor felt like it had holes under the vinyl/carpet. Lack of facilities. was COLD. heating was poor, blankets were poor.
