the fact that you guys put us in two different rooms when ours was occupied . you were very apologetic which was nice and you let us check in early. thank you once again hope to be back soon. Everything was excellent. Enjoyed my stay and they even stayed up later in the reception to assist me with my very late check in. Appreciate that. So close to everything. The lady that checked me in was amazing and very happy. Beds were comfy. Glad sky sports was available.

Very pleasant receptionist, room furnishings very nice, and very good shower. Old fashioned building but room nice, bright & comfortable. Great bed. The room was comfortable, the price was good and the location is great. I liked that it was reasonably priced, clean and tidy also comfortable. Comfort and clean rooms - great supply of hot water and great shower. Very clean and modern. Has everything you need for a weekend away. I liked that it was close to shopping facilities and restaurants. Very comfortable bed .Great location to Newmarket Shopping centre. Very close to Newmarket and 5 minute drive to Auckland Hospital. New furnishings very nice, very clean and comfortablr. Loved it. Will stay again when in Whanganui. Location was excellent for what we wanted. really enjoyed the spacey rooms. cleanliness of rooms. Friendly staff. Proximity to Newmarket and my daughters flat. Clean tidy. Location was only 15mins from our venue. quiet handy to shops. that the warriors lost. lol. Nothing I didnt like, would stay there again. The kitchen was terribly unequipped(no chopping boards, knives, grater, dishwashing liquid).Also needed a plug in the bath as we had a small child. I found it a bit odd that the "kitchenette" didn't have a sink and tap - I had to fill my water bottle from the bathroom sink which is a bit icky for me. Decor in the public areas is a bit dated, but it IS budget price. The building was a bit dated even though the rooms were nice. The surroundings were not very inviting. It was hard to get in and out of the Lodge because of busy road. Also unit above us had noisy people up about 5am thumping around which woke us up!. Nothing. Some other guests were having a big party all night and the staff didn't do anything about it. The car parking was restricting and could be improved. we didn't have a kitchen sink ,so had to rinse dishes in the bathroom basin. Bathroom very dated and very low water pressure in shower. Nothing. Parking was poor, power points were loose and unsafe. We booked a family room and found there was not enough cutlery or china for us all. being rung by reception prior to 10am checkout to see if we leaving on time. Carpark and driveway needs lots of work done. windows dirty. Noise from the road and the noise and foul language from other guests that were up for the Black Sabbath Concert. They were outside until 3.30am and then up at 6.30am. I did not know who to complain too as reception closed at 11.00pm. Was not ready for occupation from 12.00pm, told they had been busy, but they tried. 1 of our rooms booked for 5 adults and only had towels for 4 each day. Had to keep reminder the staff. Kitchen also only had cup/plates for 4 and not many utensils - no cutting knifes, tin opener etc. One of the rooms had not been vaccum properly and lollies under the cushions that had ants all around it. cheap uncomfortable furniture Alpers rd difficult to access at 5-6pm HOT shower access difficult coffee horrible not value for money will not return. I did not like to stay here the drive way was smelling so bad finallly my girlfriend end up coughing and I had to take her to doctor at the mid night omg it was disgusting.
