Although we had some grips with the room, the excellent customer service made it all good. They upgraded us to a new part of the building where some parts were not finished yet. In the showerroom there was no place to put on your items on; no wc brush. Due to the lack of a shower door, the water simply reflected to unnecessary places. The TV did not allow changes to brightness, color, video forwarding or rewinding (we didnt have to pay for the movie as per the sympathizing staff). Cold room and bathroom. No heat was on, took a while to warm the room... no safety box in room. Restaurant closes at 9.30 pm - earlier than I would expect. There issome residual noise from nearby late-night bars. My room was ok but afriend I was travelling with did have to ask to be moved. Having to pay extra for breakfast and wireless access is a nuisance. The layout of my room wasn't particularly comfortable. The room service menu is very fancy and very expensive - some cheaper and simpler options would also be nice.Directions from car park could be improved and the fact that reception is on '0' according to lift guide but there is no '0' button is not helpful after a long journey. yes, the toilet is not really oke, because there's water came up from the tiles down the toilet.Breakfast should be included in the price we paied. There is too much packaging on the breakfast, tea bags in boxes andcereal in individual portions. The facilities like the GYM etc should be cheaper for guest using the Hotel. From the info on the website no indication of price. The daily cleaning was not always as it should be.1)We booked a double room well in advance but were only offered a twin on arrival, and were not offered any compenastion for this 2)A double was offered to us for the next day, but hotel staff refused to help my wife - with 6 month old son - move all of the luggage herself 3)The non-smoking room stunk of cigarettes 4)Was no mention of the massive rennovations beforeand no reduction was offered. Poor lightening, very dark only 2 bedside lamps that you had to get under to see and small recessed lights in ceiling near door The bathroom light as usual with under 2 star hotels was inadequate.It was noisey, TV didn't work, poor ventalation if fact none unless window opened then you got the noise. For the most part it did not meet 3-4 star standards. Big surprise as this chain usually is good. -the service was not good and was not able to help if something was wrong. -my room smelled of smoke 2 nights and they didn't offer me to stay in another room. -it was noisy. They let in youngsters that made a lot of noise.

An overnight stay in the city centre can’t be better than in the Mercure Hotel Tilburg Centre. The 63 large, modern rooms are situated on the main Tilburg square known as de Heuvel. All hotel rooms are equipped with colour TV, pay TV, wireless internet access, telephone, minibar and a bathroom with bath, shower, hairdryer and toilet. The extensive breakfast buffet is served in the Bistro Napoleon restaurant.

You can relax in the sauna, the Turkish bath, beauty centre or in the Health City fitness centre, situated next to the hotel.

All hotel guests can park their car in the Heuvelpoort car park.

Important information to guests

Please note that guests are required to show the credit card which has been used to make the booking, upon arrival. If this is not possible, guests should have an authorization form, signed by the credit card holder if he/she is not travelling along. The pool is open daily, from 07:00 until 12:00.

Travelling information

The hotel is situated in the centre of Tilburg.
From all directions follow the signs "Centrum-Zuid" untill you see the sign "Parking Heuvelpoort". Follow these signs untill you get to the main entrance of Hotel Mercure. You can unload your luggage and we will explain how to park. Or park directly your car in the security department of the parking garage at level 7 or higher.
