The staff in the Hotel were very helpful and welcoming.The room was comfortable and with a good modern design. The restaurant had a lively atmosphere and served good food.It was good to see that the Hotel was popular with so many people but also we were not disturbed in our room and slept very well. The breakfast was also good and plenty of tasty food in the Dutch breakfst style. The hotel is well situated for the Keukenhof Gardens which are great to visit and plenty of exhibits in the greenhou.
all reviews » It is exactly on the road between Sassenheim and Lisse, and has a bus stop next to it. They have a very good restaurant, the waiters are awesome (and also speak a variety of languages). The room was exactly as advertised. I liked the fact that there was adjustable heating in the room. They also have generous parking space for cars. In comparison with other hotels in the region and at this period, very good value for money. Incredibly friendly and helpful staff in the restaurant (they run the hotel), greetings to them all :) Kitchen is great, wide selection, highly professional cook. The older part of the restaurant (occupied mainly by locals) has a cozy interior, as if you went back min 30yrs in time, just perfect after a day of rush in Amsterdam. Hotel very nice ,only 4 rooms. Restaurant excellent and value for money. Very friendly owners. Staircase could be a problem but managed ok. easy parking and very good location for visiting surrounding areas. Can only recommend this hotel .Hotel accepts foreign credit cards but be aware the shops in Lisse DO NOT. very help full staff, excellent food well prepared to our requests, clean rooms, comfortable beds, very easy for Keukenhof gardens, 4 bed rooms outside above the restaurant via steep iron stair case. Parking facilities, wifi and breakfast were excellent. Barman Robbie was really welcoming and made us feel at home although we arrived quite late in the evening. - Room was nice decorated - Staff gentle - Food very good - Free wireless working well - Free parking next to the hotel - Country/jazz music inside the bar. The room could really do with another brighter lamp to help light up the room area. Very steep flight of stairs to climb to the rooms - 18 very very steep stairs (I expected stairs, but I was surprised at how steep they were). There was no soap in the bathroom (even though there were shampoo, and conditioner, and cream and the like). The insulation of the room is very thin, so we heard all our neighbours' movements and all the traffic in the street. The mattress was also too soft and it moved together with you, which is not what a mattress should do. Quite challenging to climb the stairs up to the rooms with luggage Heavy traffic on the road next to the hotel and windows do not close perfectly, it's noisy also during the night. The steep outside iron stairs to the upstairs rooms were very difficult to negotiate for two of my party with mobility problems, especially with cases. The metal stairway to the rooms is quite dangerous should it be rainy. The stairs outside (to go to the rooms), they could be a problem if you transport heavy bags. The rooms are up quite a steep external steel staircase. The rooms are above a restaurant/pub, you should have earplugs with you to have a good rest (which I had). the stairs outside are steep and difficult to manipulate with luggage. Long stair to the room. If you carry big baggage, it will be a bit difficult. Internet worked marginally first night and not at all on check out day. Room was very drafty through window.
