I liked the cozy bar/restaurant atmosphere and the location. Excellent Breakfast. We were treated very cordially and well when we arrived, a taxi was ordered for our return to the airport and the wake-up call was as needed. The restaurant offered an interesting range of nicely prepared food which was good value and the service was friendly and efficient.there was breakfast included, so the double room was cheeper than rooms in other hotels... all reviews »
Friendly and helpful staff, excellent location on the way from airport to Amsterdam. I chose the hotel due to its proximity to the Schipol airport as I had an early morning flight. Carpet needs to be replaced on those rooms sometime real soon.Share Toilet. No air conditioning, a minor problem. More seriously, we had to pay what seemed exorbitant and much higher than expected taxi fares from the airport to the hotel and returning. The return by a taxi man who said he does regular work for the hotel was even more expensive than coming. This effectively almost doubled the cost of the room. This made the hotel a poor option for our rest between planes. The room was very noisy, the TV remote did not work and I would have preferred an en-suite bathroom. the music was very loud, the bar was open till 3am, so we didn't sleep well...The smell of wetness in our room was relatively strong and distinctive, the bed-linen or bed-clothes were not looking fresh, actually looking gray and pretty overused, which was the bigest dissapointment. The hotel has a very busy bar and restaurant downstairs and guests have to walk through the smoke filled bar to reach the reception. They can very well do without this uncomfortable welcome! Other than that the room was ok. Though there was a phone in the room, I had no idea how to reach the reception.
