  My room on 1st floor (6) was airy, clean, bright and nicely-decorated. Good air conditioning, pleasant (if slightly cramped) bathroom and shower. The building is well-maintained and characterful, with a very relaxed feel, and the staff are helpful and speak good English. Most spoke French, Arabic, Spanish and English which makes it easy for international travelers. The breakfast in the morning is a bit pricey but it's a great way to start your day if you're not in a rush. The patio where you eat is really nice in the mornings if the weather is good.   We found one of the reception-foyer staff so helpful. He carried our four cases to our 3 separate rooms; helped me park and exit my large car in the small hotel garage;advised us on shopping and places of interest;arranged a surprise taxi tour of Tangier and surrounding area, all without holding his hand out for payment. Unfortunately I do not ha... what people say » ve this gentleman's name to acknowledge him properly, but he is constantly on duty, so cannot be missed. Central position. Clean rooms. Tasty dinners. - Mustafa at front desk was incredibly helpful overall, especially re: my luggage which didn't arrive on my flight into Casblanca before we took train to Tangier. He helped suggest where to buy some clothes, helped with phone calls to the airlines and shared other tips to help. The location made our daily walks to the Medina and other highlights easy, and the room was very comfortable at a great price.

  Spotlessy clean, comfortable, very helpful and friendly staff. We were near the front door and asked to be moved to a quieter location. No problem and upgraded us immediately to a suite and moved all of our baggage. Fine food at a good price, the best food we had in Asillah. Beautifully decorated and maintained, open for 7 years and looked like it... what people say » had opened the day before! A very good, well priced and comfortable stay. - Beautiful hotel, interior is very nice and the restaurant can be fully recommended.   Our favourite hotel, revisiting after a break of approx. 12 years. It belongs to another age (a living museum). Has none of the modern expectations of lifts to the various floors, swimming pool, piped music etc. Belongs to its wonderful setting at the edge of the Tangier Medina with a wonderful view of the Bay of Tangier and the port. Perhaps,... what people say » because of its lack of modernity it remains remarkably cheap. - This hotel was absolutely beautiful! It is a wonderful deal. You can tell that previously the hotel was much grander, but it is still a great place. The rooms were clean, the staff was very helpful and could speak many languages, and the breakfast was in a beautiful room with an outstanding view overlooking the sea! I would definitely stay here again.
