The rooms are spacious, with the very pretty locally-painted washbasins, lovely hot shower, & hammocks in addition to the conventional b - The staff was extremely accommodating of my requests (decorating our room with balloons and making a birthday cake for my friend's birthday before our arrival). The facilities were very clean, breakfast included was an excellent perk. (although service was always a bit slow so not for those that are in a rush!).   I would definitely stay here again. The staff was amazing,the beach pristine, rooms are charming and spacious, beds are comfortable, yoga classes also a plus. The restaurant overlooks the beach, ambiance there is just lovely and coffee is really good. Staff at the restaurant work really hard and really make you feel at home. Traveled solo, always felt safe, had a ceiling fan and a portable fan, stayed in Gaia cabana which is closer to the road,b - Upon arrival the staff greeted us and introduced themselves. The atmosphere was laid back and the staff really made you feel at home. Everyone was do sweet and friendly. The owner Karla was very gracious, introducing herself to patrons and gave us reccomendations on what to do/see, etc. The staff feels like family. Not stuffy and the grounds are beautifully kept. The restaurant has a nice variety of things to eat and they have a brick pizza oven. Also, The wifi was great and kept me connected.

  I found the people were very friendly and I felt I received good value for my money. Having bikes for free use was a definite plus as it is easy to get to the ruins, beach and downtown by bike. The Tulum ruins are a must see. It is such a great cobination of a park and ruins. Very different from other ruins. I also toured - The hotel has a good location (very close to the ruins, quite close to the town and also to the beach). Free bikes are great to have to move around. And we liked very much the bread at breakfast. Cosy spacious room, good air conditioning, big beds. well wroking wifi in the room. Nice outside sitting, pizza offered at the evenings.

  hotel palma real was very budget friendly. it was cleaned daily and had a nice view for birding on the back deck or roof. the pool was nice and the staff let us use the fridge. we met other travelers there and were able to congregate in the lobby without interruption. the location is great for traveling to Coba and back or even to Tulum and back.... what people say » The A/C worked great. - The staff was friendly.
