  great location, easy access just one floor up, pretty courtyard, nice closet and cupboards, comfortable beds, friendly maid, friendly to little dog accompanying us, (even gave her a dog candy). Night watchman good and alert to returning guests.

  An excellent budget-friendly, no-frills, clean hotel located in old Puerta Vallarta, 4 blocks from the beach and Malacon board walk. The staff are wonderful, friendly, very helpful even if their english or your spanish are limited. Bus and taxi service are available right outside. Wi-Fi and bottled drinking water are included. It can be a bit nois... what people say » y with some street traffic or early morning rooster crowing but remember, you are staying in a city, not at a secluded resort. There is no elevator so - We where at Belmar on vacation over x-mas 12/13. I was there With my 16 years old son. We where suposed to stay there for only one week, but cause of the location and the price, we decided to stay one and half week more. The stuff where very kinde and helpful all the time. We liked Belmar a lot. It was traffic right outside of the hotel so it was much noice outside. Over all.. we had a nice stay there.
