An excellent budget-friendly, no-frills, clean hotel located in old Puerta Vallarta, 4 blocks from the beach and Malacon board walk. The staff are wonderful, friendly, very helpful even if their english or your spanish are limited. Bus and taxi service are available right outside. Wi-Fi and bottled drinking water are included. It can be a bit noisy with some street traffic or early morning rooster crowing but remember, you are staying in a city, not at a secluded resort. There is no elevator so.
all reviews » We where at Belmar on vacation over x-mas 12/13. I was there With my 16 years old son. We where suposed to stay there for only one week, but cause of the location and the price, we decided to stay one and half week more. The stuff where very kinde and helpful all the time. We liked Belmar a lot. It was traffic right outside of the hotel so it was much noice outside. Over all.. we had a nice stay there. It is a great place to stay I stayed there 5 times ,it is a litter noicy but in this colonia all places are noicy ,,,,few blocks from the beach ,,great colors in the rooms ,clean change beds every day the help is wonderful ,for the prise it is a great place to stay ,its not for older peopels who cant go up a lot of steps <no lift >its not for a family with kids love it very much. I loved the wrap around balcony I had. The big guys upstairs were with me on this one. It is 40 pesos from all the best eateries and 1/2 a block from 6 cad haircut. You are in Mexico when you stay at this hotel, they are kind people..... one lovely thin woman at the front desk was very kind and helpful, as were the women in housekeeping. i liked the art and bright colors. The rooms are very cool. The staff very helpful and friendly, the art work makes the place. Can walk everywhere. Personal was very kindly, the free water to take and the biscuits in the morning, 24 four ours reception. Great location and friendly staff Free filtered water on tap and rooms cleaned each day. Location, friendly staff, immaculately clean, centrally located, excellent value. location. location,nice staff. If you are short of wind or if you have bad knees, it's a 4 story walkup. noisy location. Its at a main bus stop but after 10pm they stop running so the noise isn't that bad. I live in pv and understand the noise is all part of the culture. there no breakfast. Cleaners start early in the morning. There is noise from the road but more background than intrusive. I am from a city so used to it, but those who are not it could be a problem for you. Nothing. Traffic, hard beds, small room. bed-no comfort.
