Open in May 2013, Khaosan Tokyo Laboratory is centrally located in Asakusa, just a 5-minute walk from the famous Kaminari-Mon Gate. It offers simply furnished rooms with bunk beds and free WiFi throughout. Colourfully decorated rooms feature air conditioning and heating facilities. Some rooms come with a private bathroom, while dormitory-type rooms do not. Guests can unwind in a modern living room or prepare meals at the fully equipped kitchen. The staff is helpful and they speak English very well. I checked-in late at night (around 10.30 pm) but they have midnight staff ready waiting for me. It's awesome. The place is small but very neat and very clean. There are free wi-fi on each floor and the signal strength is good. I share the room with 3 other girls. What's so great is that we have our own bathroom with shampoo, rinse, body wash that we can use for free. There are also unlimited hot water for showering.
all reviews » This cute little place made my first stay in Tokyo so comfortable and impressive. The room was clean and i really love the bed and blanket...so comfy!! The staffs were also very nice and helpful. Very good location just about 3-5 minutes from metro. Wonderful^^. 3 of us had the whole room to ourselves and we were allowed to check in early. Staff were patient in providing information on our inquires. There was a TV and attached bathroom too. Hostel was within a short walking distance to Sensoji Temple. Great facilities. Easy access. Very friendly staff, thay speaks good English. We went for a Side trip to Nikko, and could leave our luggage. Near to restaurants and metro. Great online description for directions storting from the metro. The staff are very helpful. Shout out to Manami-san, Haru-san and Jun-san, they're the best! Room is clean and comfy, the hotel's near the Tawaramachi subway and Asakusa, can't wait to stay there again in my next visit to tokyo. The place is fantastic and when you stay there you feel like home , especially the kitchen and rest area is clean and tidy. I would definetly revisit again if I'm staying in Tokyo next visit. Keep it up with the good job!. It's a new hostel. Clean. My bed is very comfortable. The 4-bed dorm has an ensuite bathroom & toilet. Lots of eating place nearby. Soseji temple and station for Tokyo Sky Tree are within walking range. One of the best hotel I've ever lived in. You can find everything you want there. The staff are terrific (and pretty cute:) ). Clean, very good staff and fair facilities. located on a traditional neighbor in Tokyo, so it's quieter then the crowded ones. very close to subway and fair restaurant options on the surroundings. The room is colourful, clean and beautiful. The bathrooms are clean all the time. It has a kitchen room which has 4 sinks and 4 stoves so that different people/groups can use at the same time. Really good bedrooms with nice TV, great bathroom and comfy beds. Also the upperfloor is cozy with the kitchen table. Good place to meet new people. Wifi also really fast. Helpfull and friendly staff. Hotel has everything you need, also very nice shared kitchen and supermarket close by. The room is new and clean. Staff do their work really well. Good location for travel around Asakusa and to other place by metro. This hotel was great during our stay. The room is tiny, but not too small. room smell not fresh restroom in room not so clean have to use on 6 fl better and clean should notice the guest who will arrived for check inn that day if hostel will have a event on lobby. None. Stinkbomb man in room. He stank. Otherwise he was fine, but he was the source of all stench. Hard bed mattress is not comfortable. Thin walls, noisy. It advertised a coin-operated laundry, but when we got there we learned that the laundry was not set up yet. So we had to track down a laundry. Services not available should not be advertised. the shop sign is not clear, difficult to find during night. No smoking area. And early check out. cost to cancel reservation. Beds were very uncomfortable. the room is not to wide, but because I booked private room for my group so it didnt really matter. Lack of space Wifi signal wasn't quite strong in our room. My 3 bunk beds private room is not clean. No carpet and no slippers in the room so it was quite cold. The bathroom was too old and not in good condition. The worst thing was the bed! I could feel the spring at my back all the time, the bed sheet was kinda not clean enough. You can pay this amout of money for the business hotel.

Take Exit 3 and continue straight for circa 3 minutes. 2. Turn left at the 3rd corner, where you will find a Police Station. 3. Khaosan Tokyo Laboratory is on the right side of the road. [From Asakusa Station] 1. Take an elevator and go out Exit A2b. 2. Cross the crosswalk towards 'Family Mart' convenience store directly opposite the street. 3. Turn right and go straight towards 'Kaminari-Mon' (large red gate with big Japanese lantern). 4. Turn left at the 4th corner (in front of Kaminari-Mon), and continue straight for circa 3 minutes. 5. Cross at the crosswalk towards the 'Family Mart' store, and find a Police Station on the right. 6. Khaosan Tokyo Laboratory is on the right side of the road. Please note: taxis without GPS system sometimes have difficulties finding the property. Guests are recommended to print out a map and come by train.
