Super friendly young Japanese couple run the place. Their English is
excellent. They gave me a map and circled all the key places to visit
and things to eat. They let me store my pack there until check in. They
cooked a traditional Japanese meal, 'nabe' I think it was
called...super yummy and heaps to eat...it was ¥300 towards cost of food
if wanted to be involved and it was fantastic. Absolutely would
recommend this place. Location close tobus, train, and main sights. Easy

Great location, warm & friendly owner. Nice to mingle with other travellers too in living room which is full of information. The recommended eating places are awesome & I also liked the onsen/hot spring they have recommended. It's such great relaxing, rotenburo with nite view after a day walking. I will definitely stay here again if I come to Takayama.
Great guest house! Gives very good value for money. The staff is great - lovely family, very helpful. The minute we arrived they gave us maps and tips for the travel. The atmosphere at the place is great and the location is very good - few minutes walk from the main station and from the attractions of Takayama.
The couple who run the place was very warm and helpful. They were always there to make us feel at home. Location is just excellent, just 2 minutes walk to the bus terminal, Family mart just nearby and yet it is still quiet. I will definitely choose this guest house on my next trip here.
It's located near the Takayama Station. The bathroom and toilet are clean. Beds have curtain for privacy and are very comfortable. The owners and staff were really friendly and helpful. Thanks, Shingo, Madoka & Maria!!.

We loved everything.
They close the main part of the guest house from 11 - 4 for cleaning. This means no access to your room (but you can sit in the communal lounge). As it was very hot in Takayama this was a little frustrating as we wanted a rest during the hottest part of the day.
It will be better if air conditioning to be provided. Toilet is clean compared with bathroom as its ceiling in bathroom is found slightly dirty.
