An absolute treat. Recently renovated, the hotel and rooms radiate a modern elegance perfect for the romantic getaway weekend. The staff were always tentative, but equally discreet. We couldn't have hoped for a better accommodation to accentuate the entire Venice experience.

The hotel is beautifully designed and very clean. The staff were very friendly and helpful, ready to cater to all our needs and very helpful in booking restaurants and givng directions . The location is just great with entrance on the Grand Canal. As a Gay couple we were treated with upmost respect and felt very welcome. Breakfasts were very nice and well presented and served at our table.

We would of liked there to be some sort of room service. Not a full menu, but some sort of light meal or sandwich selection we could have ordered late or after a day of walking - but we understand that this is a bit of a tall order as the hotel is very small and running a staffed kitchen for just a few guests maybe asking too much.

Magnificent setting, luxurious room. Service was perfect, attentive without being oppressive. The best hotel we have stayed at in Venice.

The hotel is very luxurious. We stayed in a junior suite which was fantastic, superbly designed and had great views of the canal. The hotel staff were very attentive yet very discreet. We would highly recommend this hotel for a comfortable, luxurious stay in Venice.

You would need to get a water taxi to the hotel (expensive) as trying to get there by foot is extremely difficult and has no signs directing you to hotel which is down little alleyways.

The relaxed atmosphere

The hotel was very hard to find by foot. I am glad that we took a taxi there on arrival. Also there was a very pungent smell in the bedroom every so often.

This was a perfect boutique hotel though we were slightly disapointed that there was no room service menu\ tea coffee making facilities for a hotel of this calibre

Hotel staff were extremely firendly and helpful and went above andbeyond to accomodate our needs. Rooms were VERY clean and modern and I absolutely cannot say enough about how comfortable the beds were.

Hotel was extremely difficult to find as the main entrance was on thegrand canal and therefore only accessible by water taxi (very expensive)and the back entrance was a serious maze of alleys. I highly recommendgetting detailed directions to the hotel prior to arrival!

Unusually for some very "designer" hotels, the beauty and quality is more than skin deep. It is genuinely beautiful and luxurious, from the 16th century ceiling in the "art reading room" to the beds and bathrooms. Venice itself helps, of course - there's not much to beat having the Grand Canal right outside your window, and front door. But the interior is also stunning - and the breakfasts superb.

Minor matters - but I'd expect slightly better for the price: one of the first rooms we were offered, at "luxury" rates, was poky, claustrophobic and slightly shabby. But staff swiftly agreed and upgraded us to a suite, at the same price. Even there damp was peeling the plaster off one wall underneath a window. But the (very) good far outweighed the (minor) bad points.

location was ok but the canal view was nothing to remember [ hotel has only 2 floors and I stayed in ground floor ] - not hot water one day - light system very esthetic but difficult to read especially in suite ..

Pleasant hotel staff, welcoming offer of the hotel, location and rich breakfast.

compared to price, rooms are quite small. Bad light in the room made it difficult to do apply make up and / or shave. No separation of shower, when having a shower the bathroom is inundated. Corners of the toilette not very clean for a 4 stars hotel!

Beautiful location, friendly staff.

Poor bar service, slightly overpriced, but to be expected from the location. Only slight disappointment was dusty rooms with no air conditioning and very hot/stuffy. Apparently the air con is only switched on in summer.
