Location was excellent . Our room had a canal view which was unique. Noisy if windows open but new windows shut out the noise. Very clean and looked like the picture. Staff friendly, professional and helpful. Location fantastic. Couldn't hear others in the hotel even though it was full. Great value for money for Europe and Venice. Met all expectations. Great self serve restaurant at front door. Great for a breakfast of cappuccino, croissant and yogurt . Had great pizza too. Ea.
all reviews » Location within Venice was great, less than 5 min walk to Rialto Bridge. Room was a great size, with instantly hot shower - have heard that in Venice you can get both a small room and bad water pressure but no issues on this side. Staff very helpful, we got to check in early as the room was ready and they kept our bags safe on the last day until late at night. Also ate in the restaurant which was good food, staff here more than helpful as the terrace flooded during high tide and they piggy back. Fabulous romantic hotel ambience and central location a few minutes from Rialto Bridge. Easy vaporetta access @ Ca D'Oro. We had a large canal-view room with balcony. Very clean, high ceiling with exposed beams, with modern private bathroom. Nearby churchbells would greet us each morning. My brother stayed in a 4 star hotel near San Marco at 3 times the cost, and our room was much nicer! We loved it!!. Great location and value for money!! I thought the room was terrific and the style and décor inside. The room backed straight-on to a canal so it was a romantic setting. The hotel restaurant below the room was excellent and served really good seafood, and it was delicious and well cooked!! Really enjoyed my stay in this Hotel!! .. I loved the location and helpful staff. The receptionist was extremely polite and professional, with helpful advice on practical everything I might need as the first-time visitor. The room was lavishly furnished which I did not expect judging by the exterior. the location was perfect and the bathroom was modern. The place was really clean and I loved the staff. Everyone was super helpful. The view from our room was lovely. The cafe outside made great cappuccinos. The price was fantastic it was a good value. Generally it was well place in Venice. It is what it is but it is comfortable and if you just want a bed and somewhere to sleep its more than adequate. Dont expect 5 star services but it is a good 1 star. No food but a good coffee shop within 5 meters. Very clean hotel, in the centre of the old Venice in sestiere Canaregio. In an old buliding in campo Ricardo Selvatico, a passage of the cantral walking axis of Venice from Piaz.Roma to Saint Marco. Friendly stuff, law prices, easy to find. Great location, close to the Rialto bridge. And a close enough walk (10-15 minutes) to Piazza San Marco. Staff was very friendly. We had a newer room in a separate building from the front desk. Not very big but it was very clean and cozy. This hotel is spotlessly clean, the rooms are well-appointed, the location is wonderful and it is fantastic value for money in what is a very high-cost destination. Superior room is much more better (spacious) than classic one (really tight, bed takes all the space and the toilet is almost under washbasin). Right across the bridge is venecian market where you can buy fruits etc. 10 minutes walk from all main sights. the location is convenient, the hotel is near the waterbus stop Ca’d’Oro, and the room has a venice style decoration. Bed was a little hard but then expected this as Europe tends to have this and only had one pillow each - asked for additional from staff and they could give us one extra and then a blanket that I used so what I didn't like they managed to assist with as much as they could. Everything was terrific. Regretfully we did not try the hotel restaurant as there are so many food choices in the area. Couldn’t fault it, great value for money too!! .. The room was small. The mossies, we totally forgot to prepare for them and have suffered. No elevator for the second floor and some noise from the fruit bar near by. Some people won't like the fact that you have to go out for breakfast and there is no lounge area - but it is only a 1 star hotel, so if you want more facilities, you pay more and go more upmarket. Beds quite hard, like most European hotels. Location was in a small piazza. We got lost several times trying to get back to it after being out for the day. None. Unfortunately, the cute little square that the hotel faces turns in to a hangout at night for drinkers who congregate at the "juice bar" which also sells alcoholic drinks. The noise between ten and three at night is impossible to sleep through. We don't have anything negative to say about our experience with Al Vagon. Nothing it was a great time. a bit noisy outside but is is central Venice so quite allright lovely reataurant but not lucky to have a meal - once came to late,another time too early :). it would have been nice to have a dining room but there were plenty of restaurants and bars nearby. No A/C or ceiling fan. Steep staircase to our room. Everything was fine. Very specific directions about finding the hotel would be helpful as Venice is not an easy place for first timers. Room was fine ,insulation negligible , with impressionable children need I say more. Even though coffee was a quick walk downstairs and around the corner , a little starter inthe room would be nice. But that is an italian govt rule not the hotel's choice. Even though I was one, too many tourists. Rooms very small. next time getting clearer directions on how to get to Al Vagon would be helpful. Google maps places it on the opposite side of town. You need to get the map off their website. got bitten every night by bugs - dont know what kind. no tea coffee facility - even a drinks vending machine in the foyer would have been useful. Noisy at night can hear everything. No wi-fi (but it's common through Venice). It's better to visit restaurants and cafes not behind the corner but walk a little bit away from Rialto and other touristic places - price will be lower and service better. Choose place to eat by locals. Whereas you hear italian speach from visitors and see most of tables taken - you found the right place. no wifi, no breakfast, a little noisy as the hotel is at the street with tourists passing by....compared to other places in Itanly, Venice hotels were over-priced.
