Every single thing. This is a wonderful place to really get to know Sorrento and the Amalfi coastal area. Il Roseto is truely a gem. From the beautiful location, the stunning gardens and scenery, the family who run the resort are some of the friendliest people we have met ever and their hospitality, helpfulness and friendliness were first class. We were sorry not to have had more time here thanks.
all reviews » What a great place! Four of us (two couples) stayed for 3 nights and we all loved it - "probably the best bandb we have ever stayed in". Our rooms were clean and had excellent facilities, new ensuite bathrooms etc. and even a safe! The breakfasts were very good and made even better by eating in the garden. The biggest plus was the caring and friendly ambience created by Michaela and her family.The garden area is quite and the perfect place to relax away from the bustle and noise of Sorrento. Rooms are very comfortable etc. The family that runs Il Roseto are great and go that extra mile to make your stay a pleasant one. All good!. We got lost trying to find this hotel and had to call them. It turns out we were in the wrong town. They sent a staff member on a motorbike to guide us to the hotel. Staff was tremendously helpful during our overnight stay.The location and quality of the accommodation and the friendly, helpful staff. The room was better than one in central Rome which we thought was as good as it gets for the price but this proved us wrong!. Everything! Beautiful rooms, lovely helpful staff and excellent value for money. The breakfast was delicious every morning.Breakfast in the lemon grove was a delightful experience with wonderful fresh orange juice and pastries. You did not only have a room but a beautiful garden to relax when you got home from exploring all day.The breakfast served in the lemon garden. We enjoyed a nice, 9 night stay at Il Roseto in December and January, 2008-2009. Our host families made us feel like at home. The room (Punta del Capo) was in perfect condition with brand new fittings. Trekking around Sorrento was good – we accumulated 103 km and 2 km of height gain. Very good, Kirsi and Risto, Helsinki, Finland.The hotel staff/owner are very nice and friendly!! The fresh orange juice from their garden (as breakfast) impressed us so much!! The garden are nice, making you feel like home in Sorrento. It's a bit walking distance from Sorrento city center and the port but I really recommend this hotel!!. The accommodation was excellent - quiet and relaxing in a spacious, well decorated room with good en suite facilities. Continental breakfasts taken under the orange and lemon trees in the garden in November were a bonus. Overall good value for money and highly recommended.Location was good, staff was helpful, and the rooms were VERY clean. Free Internet, very good breakfast pastries, close by parking for our car, owners are "very" nice, our room was very spacious. Very friendly and helpful staff. Rooms clean and comfortable. Just a small point - we missed the turn off the main road a few times! Perhaps a small adjustment or addition to the travel directions on their website would be helpful. The owners were extremely helpful. Confirm minor issues raised by other reviews - limited television in English; take your own travel kettle; the 10 minute walk into the centre along a very busy (but level) road could be a problem for some people. A little hard to find...a bigger sign would help :). Street exit difficult for car (need a mirror on other side), the walk to town at places is very close to traffic, "hand held" showerhead was broken and cracks spray water everywhere. (all these issues are minor). Too far to walk to downtown Sorrento, but bus stop is nearby.the pression of the water of the "doccia" is "molto" weak. no sign-board, we had to ask for directions but found quickly.

By Car:
From the North:
- Take the A1 highway Milano-Napoli.
- Join the A3 Napoli-Pompei-Salerno.
- Exit at Castellammare di Stabia.

From the East:
- Take the A16 highway Bari-Napoli.
- Join the A/3 Napoli - Salerno.
- Exit at Castellammare di Stabia.

From the South:
- Take the A3 highway Reggio Calabria - Salerno.
- From there go towards Napoli.
- Exit at Castellammare di Stabia.

Once you are in Castellammare di Stabia:
- Take the parkway SS 145 to Sorrento. It is approximately 48 km from Naples and 50 km from Salerno.

By public transport:
If travelling by train, there are direct 'Circumvesuviana' trains connecting Naples central railway station, Piazza Garibaldi, with Sorrento. Trains leave every half hour and reach Sorrento in a little more than an hour. Get off at the second to last stop, S.Agnello, which is at walking distance from the hotel.

By Air:
There is a bus-service daily from the airport of Capodichino (Naples) to Sorrento.
