The New Inn was the perfect choice for staying in a central location in Rome. The "hotel" is located on the third floor (accessible via and elevator when one has luggage to consider). Staff was very friendly and accommodating, the room was clean with air exchanger - a much more eco friendly solution to staying cool. The kettle, cups and tea in the room was a nice touch - the fridge a welcome addition to keep the food cool we bought at the nearby grocery store. We were able to connect to anywher.
all reviews » The location is really very convinent, and close to Termini station as well as to Colosseum, Forum and Piazza Venezia. There were no problem to find the hotel, as we found it with help of Google maps street view previously. You should ring the bell( press the button named New Inn) on the large wooden doors, to enter the building. The WC is equipped with hygienic shower. The shower cabin is quite large and works good. This was very central for us as we had just returned from a train trip the day before and had to catch the train to Fiumicino airport for our departure. The staff were very efficient and the room was clean and quiet. Seemed like hotel had just opened or reopened. Room was clean and looked to have been just remodeled. Overall, hotel fine. Staff members seemed to have multiple duties. Lovely room for 5 ppl (u don't get too many off them!!) every staff member we met were surperb. Very clean, was very pleased, good location for us. We (2) spent six nights at the hotel and were given a room overlooking the busy street scape with trams coming and going from early morning till midnight. Friends of ours arrived for one or two nights and were assigned to rooms overlooking the quiet courtyard... something to consider and request for anyone booking this hotel. The room was a little bit dirty, a dust was under the table. There were no heating in the room, at least we didn't find it, and it was rather cold, especially at nights. The large bed is two beds close to each other, it is not very comfortable. There were no hot water in washbasin, though it was in the shower- cabin. Noise (that's near a tram stop) Breakfast is outside in a bar, no big issue but short in choice (late-cafelate - capuccino - corneto). noisy street. Room was basic and breakfast was nothing special; just a coffee and a small cake. There is no heating and kettle in the room. The staff is not always there, some of them can't speak English. The toilet was very dirty, There is no safe and the breakfast includes coffee and croissant only. I would pay no more than 80 euros for one night. The room wasn't clean when we got in, the staff didn't speak English, the double bad was actually twin beds that were put together, a few stuff in the room were broken.
