My husband and I stayed at Vado al Massimo July 14-18 (2013), and had a lovely experience. Most important to us…the rooms are very clean and well decorated. Though the rooms are only cleaned every two days (during your stay), you can certainly request a touch-up or fresh towels more frequently. The location is very convenient to the historic center, and a short bus ride (20 minutes) to the nearest beach – in Mondelo. Antonio and Giovanni are wonderful hosts – friendly, accommodating, very helpf.

I appreciated the fact that the owners contacted me before my arrival to check the arrival time. The room was clean, had a tv and air conditioning. Parking was available right in front of the building, free of charge. Everything was impeccably clean and tidy. The location is absolutely perfect, close to all the major sites and public transport + the restaurant and bar area. The breakfast is also great, with a variety of sweet and savory options to choose from. Would definitely stay here again. Good breakfast, a nice range of fare, especially on the second morning where 'mum' made us delicious cheese, oil and tomato toasted sandwiches. Room and bathroom clean and everything worked well. The location is fantastic, right near the beautiful Theatre. Free parking outside. Great location. Great B&B. They only have 5 rooms and you can use the kitchen for your own cooking if necessary. B&B is perfectly located in the heart of Palermo's city centre, a few minutes walking distance from Teatro Massimo, Teatro Politeama and Central Station. Nice clean rooms, comfortable bed, everything you need in the bathroom, best possible location, nice breakfast. When you get to know how the system works there is no problem with car parking as well. The walls are a little thin, so you could hear the others in the morning (but this didn't bother us, since it happens almost anywhere). We left a bottle of cognac in the room and when we returned in the afternoon it wasn't as full as we remembered, which bothered us a little bit (the room had been cleaned in the meantime). But all in all it was a nice place and we would return there!. It's not that I disliked anything. But the decoration of the rooms are okay, they're not great. They're modern but not luxurious or anything. And outside, be patient with your parking or you'll call it a nightmare. And there's a guy who'll help you find a space but you'll need to drop him a couple of Euros. Our room had a very compact bathroom. Only one problem with this B&B is the parking. If you check in after 5pm it is not a problem, but beforehand it is almost impossible to find a space on the street. There is a lot nearby but it can be pricey. We parked the car when we arrived and didn't move it until we left, because we didn't want to lose the space. We were better off, because in any case driving in Palermo is like a bad dream. Breakfast selection was terrible, resembled a party for a 5 years old kid. We always had to ask for toilet paper, the person in charge of cleaning the room never payed attention to it. Also, I got one perfume bottle broken during the cleaning process and all I heard from the staff was "I'm sorry". While cleaning the rooms they rearranged our stuff, which we didn't find very comfortable. They tried to charge us in the middle of our stay without telling us and without asking us how we'd like to pay, just took some outdated letsbookhotel.com information about a credit card that I in the past and tried to charge it. I had to go and ask what's going on after receiving a note from my bank about the attempt, which I don't believe is the best way to treat a client. Room a bit noisy, but okay given great location. I didn't like that my computer could not connect with their free WIFI. A bit expensive (65 ) or at least a bit over the average cost of a bb. Nothing. Main entrance and staircase made me worried for what to come but...... Parking can be chancy. very hard to find and didnt look nicefrom the outside. Although very close to the main road, the side road we had to access was very dirty and deserted after dark. Bathroom, although well cleaned, had a foul smell, maybe from the drainage system. Breakfast was not so good, didn't seem to be freshly prepared (specially the bacon tasted foul), except for few components. Location at night is awful.
