The hotel was in a beautiful setting in the country side. I would discribe it as rustic elegance at it's best. From the moment that the owners greeted us to the moment we left everyone bent over backwards to make our experience extrordiary and always with a smile. I can't say enough about the attention to detail in this restored farm house. We stayed in the 16th century tower above the chaple. It had been impecably restored. We had a private terrace over the chaple that looked out over the coun.
all reviews » Magical and arty renovation of an ancient farm, with charming and generous owners. Quirky and distinctive rooms and comfortable lounge with antiques. A particular highlight is the restaurant and superb friendly staff. No choice dinner but delicious every evening. We also enjoyed the free cooking tuition making pasta, bread and pork rolls. Overall a beautiful setting and a great place to explore Puglia for 4-5 days. Everything! We had a wonderful stay. The masseria was tastefully and stylishly renovated but stays true to its rustic origins and charm. The staff were amazing and genuinely friendly and helpful. Just the right balance of professional and personal. The food was fantastic and it made it difficult for us to eat anywhere else. We will be back. The masseria is very well placed for a taste of the countryside around the well known, beautiful wine towns of Martina Franca and Locorotondo, and the Roman ruins by the sea at Egnazia. A large, comfortable,airy room and verandah. All thoughtfully appointed. The owner and staff were hospitable, kind and obliging. The masseria has beautifully laid out grounds and swimming pool. the accommodation is comfortable and 'authentic' in 'trullis' or the main (converted farm)house. The food was variable - we had one good meal and one which was quite poor. enjoyed the cookery classes!. Nice shampoo and bodywash. The site is really beautiful. the staff is really involved in the quality of service. Location,size of swimming pool,buildings. Can't think of a thing. It was perfect. Nothing!. Perhaps, as a suggestion for the 'cooler' season when one cannot swim, a table tennis table would be welcome. A regional wine tasting would also be interesting. Had to leave very early in our last day and asked the manager for a "pocket-breakfast" or a few fruits to take away, but our request was not answered Swimming pool & bar is supposed to close at 7:30pm, but we found ourselves in the dark after sunset (6pm) in the bar one day (no lights, no waiters) Given the number of rooms and the price, we expected a more personal service (though we really enjoyed our stay and would strongly recommend the masseria to other travellers). There was not somebody to the pool bar everytime. nothing wrong. Shower room tiny,paying for pool towels, breakfast poor-only fruit salad couple days,awful fruits juice.didn't like being approached at breakfast about treatments,too many rules in facilities leaflet in room.
