That the place was very homely. Very close to train station. The cleanliness, friendly staff. Monica, who ran the bed and breakfast, was extremely nice and easy to deal with. Mestre is not the nicest places to stay but that has nothing to do with the hotel. The air conditioning controls were apparently not in the room, and we didn't realize we would have to request it. We opened windows to cool off and were hammered with mosquitoes. . The breakfast was included in the price, but was very very minimal. Whenwe wanted to pay, we were asked to pay by cash, which is not so much toworry about, however paying by credit card would have been better.No internet available. No hotel parking space for vehicles.

Information about the area
Villa Ricordi is located in a great position to visit Venice and all Veneto area. Bus to Venice is available every 10 min for 24 h and bus stop is just in front of the house. Mestre-Venezia railway station is at 300 mt and shuttle bus terminal from and to Venice or Treviso airports is at 200 mt. Thanks to this favourite location, guests could easly visit venice in just 10 min., Padova in 20 min. , Treviso in 25 min. Vicenza in 45 min, Lake of Garda and Gardaland parks or Verona in 55 min.
If you want to visit Venice, we suggest you to buy a 12/24 or 3 days pass bus+boat. With this pass you can take all buses to and from Venice and all "Vaporettos" into Venice (NOT gondola). Pass is available at the tobacconist at 150 mt.

All rooms have private bathroom, colour TV, air conditioning with individual remote control, heating with individual thermostatic. They are all furnished with "damasco" plotted to offer to guests the pleisure to stay in a typical Venetian old Villa.
Travelling information
TO ARRIVE AT VILLA RICORDI IS VERY SIMPLE:
BY TRAIN:
Stop at Venezia-Mestre. By foot exit from railway station and turn right. Continue for 100 mt until you find "Via Dante". Take Via Dante and continue for 200 mt until the trafic light. Turn right and continue for 50 mt. The yellow Villa you find on your right is Villa Ricordi.
BY PLANE (FROM M. POLO AIRPORT OR TREVISO AIRPORT)
Just outside the airports (arrival area) take blue bus ATVO to Mestre Railway station (FS). When you will arrive in Mestre just in front the terminal you will see Via Dante. Take Via dante, continue for 200 mt until trafic light and turn right. Villa Ricordi is the yellow villa you find immediately on your right.
BY CAR (from A4 MI-Ve coming from Milano)
Exit at mestre and follow the road to mestre railway station. You will find a circle, follow to Venezia and Mestre station and after 3 Km turn right crossing the railways. Turn left and continue for 500 mt. At the "T" cross turn right to mestre Centro and after 150 mt you will see a GYM called "Dynamis". The yellow villa near the GYM is Villa Ricordi
BY CAR FROM A 27 AND A 4 (FROM TRIESTE/SLOVENIA/CROAZIA)
Exit from highway and follow sigh to Milano (free highway). After 4/5 miles take exit Venezia PORTO and continue for 3 km. At the trafic light turn left crossing railway and left again until trafic light. At the"T" cross turn right to Mestre Centro and over 150 mt. right to Via Sernaglia near GYM Dynamis
