This is one of the best hotels I've ever stayed (and I know a lot of 4 stars in Europe). Fantastic decorated rooms in a 18th century building. Great breakfast (every thing of top quality). Front door personal couldn't be better, fluent English spoken and they try all their best to indicate restaurants, places to visit etc. Location is very nice, 5 to 10 minutes walking to main attractions and restaurants. Highly recommended, it is not cheap but it worth every cent we paid. A choice of class.

Having breakfast in the small garden was verynice, a good start for the day.The location is very convenient, it isvery close to the center of the city but you don't feel like being in atouristic area. Location, atmosphere of Liberty style. Absoloutely nothing, I am definitely coming back again. nothing bad about this place. Nothing, this hotel is 100 %, I sleep over 200 nights a year in hotels !. dealing with all the one way streets to get to the hotel, but it's overall location was great, everything you'd need in walking distance. Italian breakfest. we had a room on the ground floor to the back, so it was a bit dark. The location close to a seedier part of the city was a concern at first. it is diffacult to find and is not in a very nice section however due to these facts parking was easier. Catania is not a very nice place, even though the monuments and restaurants are interesting. The city is very badly maintained, dirty and disorganized. Apart from that the hotel is very good and well located.Tea and Coffee facilities in the room would be nice. Breakfast could have more things. the only problem was that the hotel turned off the air conditioning during the evening/night - we had to ask for it to be put on again as it was uncomfortably hot.

The large, mosaic marble bathrooms feature a hair-dryer and a range of bathroom amenities. Each room and suite offers a unique charm and is individually decorated with fine furniture and precious fabrics based on orginal sketches by Hoffmann.

Travelling information

By car:
- From the A19 take the ring road and exit at Fontanarossa airport. Follow the signs to Catania Centro.
- Take Via Colombo then Via Mulino Santa Lucia (along the Catania harbour) until Piazza Borsellino (also known as Piazza Alcala').
- Turn right and follow Via Cardinale Dusmet until Piazza Giovanni XXIII (Central Station).
- Turn right and take Corso della Libertà until Piazza Repubblica, then follow Corso Sicilia until Piazza Stesicoro.
- Cross Via Etnea towards Piazza Borsa, turn right at Via Sant'Euplio and then left at Largo Paisiello.
- At the end of Largo Paisiello, turn right for Via Cimarosa and continue until the first stoplight.
- Here, turn left and then take the first street on your right hand side (via Reclusorio del Lume).
- Take the second street on your left (Via Orto San Clemente). The hotel is on the corner with Via San Vito.
