We arrived at the hotel apartment around 6.30pm, an hour or so later than expected. I called the number of the hotel and a lady came to open up for us. She was very helpful and very pleasant and really couldn't do enough. The entrance is a big double gated door which has graffiti all over it and we thought, oh my, but it opens into a courtyard and you take the elevator up to the 1st floor where the reception is. It is very homely, the apartments were extremely spacious. She showed us 2 apartmen.
all reviews » Wonderful place with fantastic ambiance. Location is fantastic - 5 minutes on foot from 2 towers, lot of restaurants around. Our number was well-designed, with beautiful antique bureau and table and had (apart from the main window) - a little round nice window that made the ambiance in our room really magical! 2 beds were comfortable. The breakfast was also good - you can have it on the big veranda or in the breakfast room with a lot of antique wonderful furniture. The staff was helpful and aff. The location was amazing, just walk out the door and you can get everywhere by foot in about 10/15 minutes tops. The staff was great, they explained everything into detail, about Bologna but also about the room etc. They give us all tips and tops about the city so we could fully enjoy. The appartment was spacious and had everything we needed. Kat and Olga were very gracious and accommodating hosts and very helpful with tips about where to go in Bologna, breakfast was wonderful, facilities felt very homey - an authentic B&B in a fantastic location, comfortable and clean and decor was very personal and sweet. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Room was lovely, with fruit on the table. Invited to help ourselves to juice or wine. Terrace very nice for tasteful breakfasts. Would definitely book there again. A spacious, light and airy apartment! We found this a great base for our two day trip to Bologna. Excellent location just 10 minutes walk from the station and 5 minutes from the main square. Beautiful room, nice bathroom facilities, helpful and friendly staff. Excellent location for shopping, the towers, and our CIBO cooking class. Plenty of options for breakfast. Rooms (stayed in 2 different ones over 4 nights) were quirky, clean and comfortable. There is an elevator which is great for your bags as its located on the 1st floor. Overall it was good. The location was great. Olga is really helpful for every question and recommended good restaurants and shopping areas for us. They could put the heating on a couple of hours before guests arrive. We didn't even want to get undressed. The towels in the bathroom were a bit thin, and there was only 2 big towels, no hand towels or small towels to dry our hair. The general cleaning could have been better there was dust in the bath and the bedroom floor. Not super quiet (neighbors and street noise), don't let the exterior of the building scare you away. A little tricky to find. Bathroom is separate from bedroom. Late check in 15.00 hrs. The apartment with the AC had the AC in the Living room and not the bedroom so was a bit senseless. but it was bearable for one night. The hotel is a flat with rooms rented. If you look for a hotel it is not suitable for you. But it is good for a night stays. You must know it is located in the former Jewish ghetto, i.e. in a parallel of via Zamboni (University area), so you should expect that it gets noisy at night. Plus, the B&B is actually an apartment in an old building - one should not look for modern, stylish furniture nor for sound-proof walls. Staff didnt turn up not answering phone and they had to clean after the lasts guests in front of us, was so unprofessional and very expensive.
