Very friendly personel. The hotel is at very lovely small square, full of life, and close to Jaffa Gate and Mahane Jehuda Market. Breakfast were okey. The room was small but cosy. /Hotel je na příjemném místě, kus od hlavní Jaffa street a asi 10 minut od starého města a 5 minut od Mahane Yehuda trhu. Příjemný personál. Pokoje jsou malé, ale příjemné, snídaně taky v pohodě, i když pořád stejné.

Sherut taxi from Tel Aviv very good, dropped me off outside the hotel, 64 shekels,as of Sept 2013. Location is great. The night front desk guy, I think his name is Tom, was fantastic--helpful, friendly, got a snack for my teen late at night, etc. Because it's on a square, it's actually pretty quiet at night, even though you are in the heart of the city. The hotel is reminiscent of the NYC eastvillage buildings.The hotel is historic 1936. Very basic, needs upgrades, The central location is everything a tourist wants. The staff are exceptional and very helpful. Comfortable rooms with enough space for belongings and air, everyday change of towels, all time unlimited access to the dining-room to prepare tea or coffee, tasty breakfasts. The first room we've got was on the second floor. This floor seem to have the less good rooms. Quite dirty and looked very cheap. I suggest this for a family that really gets along well and won't be spending much time in the room. This is a walk up building,no elevators. There's cat urine odor when the windows are open. Allergy alert,Neighborhood Cats openly roam the area . There wasn't a mini frig in the room. or clock radio. I have no negative comments. I found the lack of a lift a problem as I had difficulty walking stairs so it would be a reason for any physically challenged person but the staff helped carrying suitcases. A lot of dating teenagers nearby, that make noise. In the night a lot of walking and singing people. Wi-Fi works poorly. Cleaning of rooms isn't perfect. Short beds. Very small rooms with old furniture. no elevators - but staff will carry the luggage upstairs. The hotel hasn't a lift and porter. Stairway not very clean. One of receptionists was a bit depressive person. Found the stairs difficult as there is no lift. Television didn't work. stairs. Second floor rooms are not nice. Some facilities, like door locks, showers and bathrooms, function more or less OK but could use some renovations in order to be more "use-friendly" and convenient. > Air conditioning stops very often. Too expensive for what you get, but it dependsnon the costnof life in jerusalem. Price. I thought that $120 was excessive for a modest tiny room. Also, there should have been another roll of toilet paper and another bar (actually, a little circle) of soap. - Far too expensive for what you get. - No fridge in one room and in the other room too small. - Rooms not clean enough. - Wash stand far too small. - No elevator. Thin walls and thus can be very noisy. Very small room. Price. Dirty rooms no lift unhelpful reception not fit to be even a 2 star place difficult to find so bad i moved out, have never done that in the 30 years of travel. Palatin Hotel is well-located, but other than that it's hard to say any good word about it. First of all, don't trust photos on reservation sites! Rooms are very old and scruffy, floor-covering is super-dirty, using a/c is risky - it's very old and molded. Bathroom is a disaster - old, dirty, stinking, molded and humid. Stuff are very gruff and unhelpful (especially guy with grey long beard). Breakfast was horrible.
