The rooms were spotless - lovely and clean. It was very peaceful considering the road outside was very busy and the staff were extemely helpful. I would definitely stay at this hotel again. Hotel location is perfect right in the centre of town .All staff very friendly ,efficient,and welcoming,Any meals we had were freshly cooked and beautifully presented.Clean modern hotel, with friendly helpful staff and a great price.

We got the impression the kitchen was very well run. Rooms were well appointed and clean - well above the average we found in our two week trip to Ireland using hotels in the same price range. Excellent location in town with parking close by. relaxing atmosphere.weather wasn`t great so we decided to not to explore westports other restaurants but ate in the hotels restaurant It was fantastic,food ws delicous and well presented. Friendly staff, 2 restaurants - food good value, good sized room,comfortable beds, excellent position in pleasant town, nice bar. The Staff. The staff were very friendly, the breakfast was nice with a good choice, good central location for exploring the town. Beds were comfortable, room was clean. The staff were extremely helpful especially as we had two eldery people with us. They organised a wheelchair to be made available for us during our stay.Lift. Very clean and good sized room. Convenint to the town centre. Energy efficient lights and key for this. Good big dining room. the food was great.very friendly staff, convenient town centre location, complimentary tea and cookie in next door bistro, large rooms, nice breakfast. The staff in general were excellent, from front desk to restaurant. We had dinner in the restaurant and it was fantastic! It's very well situated and quite reasonably priced.Warm and clean.Friendly and efficient staff. Liked music in Madden's Bar. Particularly impressed by evening meal in Riverside Restaurant. My only fault would be that when we arrived down for breakfast we had to wait 30mins for our 'Irish' (along with alot of other guests) as the waiter said that there was only one chef on duty - surely they would have a fair idea of how many people had breakfast and how many more were still to eat? Saying that the breakfast was very nice when it did arrive.As weather was very warm and humid a/c would have been nice. The rooms are slightly different sizes, ours was smaller than our friends. As it is a busy town the rooms at the front of the hotel have more road noise, especially during the week.Directions to the hotel -it is on an one-way system in the town. Parking I don't think is provided. the rad was hanging of the wall.next door car park was very busy, had to wait quite a while beofre a space becoming available. arriving back late after a wedding found ourselves locked out and had to wait 5 minutes + in the cold before the night porter came to let us in. key access would have been preferable. The heating in the room is rubbish and non-existent in the bathroom! When we pointed it out to reception the following day, she said they were aware there was a problem with that room. If so, why put guests in it?!? The hotel is being renovated and there was no mention of this online. There's no hotel car-park, just a public one beside it. We requested a double room; what we got was two single beds pushed together!!! Very comfortable as single beds go, not so much as a double!. uncertainty regarding my booking at reception. Room was not made up when i arrived.Room was a bit cramped and could have done with a lot more storage space - drawers for clothes etc. first room there was a smell of sewage we had to change rooms the second room was ok not enough heat no heat in the first room either.
