The hotel is in a great location, minutes walk from all the main city centre areas. We had a huge and very comfortable double bed which was great. Staff were extremely friendly and helpul. We were there with a 5 month old baby, who at times made a bit of a racket, however the staff were great with her and made a big fuss of her. The car park was some 200metres down the road, this wasn't a problem for us as there is ample roadside parking to load and unload as required. I'll be staying again.
all reviews » The bed has to have been one of the most comfortable I have ever slept in! It really was great. Staff were very pleasant. Location was also brilliant. Most of all, though, I got a last-minute deal which was really good value. Oh yes, one other thing - there was a lovely little ceramic teapot in the room, a lovely change from having a tea-bag in a cup and I appreciated this very much!. Everything was great. We were upgraded to a suite, not sure why, maybe cause it was busy. Our rooms were great, comfortable, great shower. The staff went out of their way to be helpful. Friends of ours staying at another hotel were impressed with the staff. The location was great. Staff was super friendly and always helpful with everything. Location is perfect, 5 minutes walk from pubs, restaurants and main attractions. Room was very clean and bed was huge and so comfortable that I wish I had the same one in my apartment! The room was clean and comfortable, but this hotel will be due for an update within the next few years. The hotel allows only thirty minutes complimentary internet access. We think this is a very outdated policy. Even the b and b where we stayed in a tiny village in County Kerry allowed unlimited use of wi-fi. When we questioned this, we were told "it's company policy." What a nice easy cop-out!!. Too soft bed :). The Bed; very uneven, ended up sleeping across the end of the bed for the night, I've got a bad back and would definitely have been in a bad way in the morning had I not done so. The address is wrong on your site and the hotel literature. It is not on Merion Square. It is 2 streets away in fenion st. Tv allarm swiched on 6 am, was difficult to rest due to that. No free wifi. Had to pay for wifi!. No car park. But expected when you are this close to the city. Ten euro a little steep. Even seven/eight would have been more acceptable. Some Reception staff could have been a little more helpful, their knowledge of Dublin and travel to airport arrangements was not great!. No air conditioner. It would if they did some deals where breakfast was included but there are several inexpensive places close by. None. the parking is 200 m from the hotel and cost money the wifi cost money the breakfast was expencive and not that good. My car park ticket was validated at reception on checkout - i thought this meant paid - but it did not - so i was confused when the ticket did not open the barrier. this process was not explained to me. the validation was to ensure i got the hotel rate of €10 - but this did not work as i was charged €12??. 10 euros a day for wifi is a rip off when it's free in nearly every bar and government subsidized...I Think. Room temperature a little hard to regulate. Only fault was the food wasn't as nice as I expected compared to the standard of everything else. paying for the wifi. We really liked our bedroom,it was a great size and was very clean however one side of the bed was completely collapsed. Wifi was poor and cost €10. Free facility would have been nice. Wifi is charged daily, very annoying. No drive way to drop luggage, food service in bar very slow. In the end I had to go to the bar to place an order. The iron in the room was dirty, which made the first shirt I ironed dirty. It may sound petty but the bathroom in the room could do with some more shampoo and body wash and hair conditioner. I was sharing with my daughter and there was only one bottle of shampoo and one bottle of body wash. Cooked breakfast was cold and the dirty plates weren't removed. Paint was peeling from the ceiling in the bathroom and there was a mark on the ceiling in the bedroom where there had obviously been a leak. Only complaint was that tv was very badly situated in corner of room - too far from bed to watch it. Should be on centre of wall opposite end of bed. Parking wasn't included in price. Nor was wifi. Should be made clear prior to arrival. The bar was horroribly run. They had no sour mix and no ice. Bar staff was slow to take an order, and slow to fill it. The showerhead in the room was on pole, but kept sliding down while on. Water pressure was less than adequate too. Not what is expected from an upscale hotel. Some parts of the hotel need refurbishment. Gym facility needs better ancillary support e.g. radio/music and TV for treadmill, etc.
