Very friendly staff desiring to be truly helpful, though the language barrier was a problem from my side at times. Very basic - no kettle in my room, but good water pressure in the adequate bathroom. Excellent wi-fi, also a great location adjacent to the citadel and souq. I'd definitely recommend a stay there if your expectations are not high. It is in war-torn Iraq after all, though it is 100% safe!.
all reviews » most things about hotel. If you want to be close to the Citadel this is the place, our window faced directly onto the drive up. The staff made every effort to be helpful and friendly. Breakfast was limited but acceptable for a few days. Our room was clean and beds were very comfortable with working, new ac & satellite tv. The rooms are not clean at all. Also you can find better and even cheaper hotels with your money such as Red Rose Hotel that is not mentioned in letsbookhotel.com. The view from my window was fantastic with unobstructed view of the Citadel and the room was comfortable. The location was great for the Citadel, right across the road!. The people were friendly. Nothing, but don't expect a 5 star hotel!. Bathroom. The hotel is seriously dated and a bit seedy but clearly under some repair. Restaurant closed but breakfast served in another room. The area is dark at night with no restaurants nearby other than sandwich shops, all close early. The rooms are not clean at all. Also you can find better and even cheaper hotels with your money such as Red Rose Hotel that is not mentioned in Booking.com. The staff couldnt speak English at all except the receptionist who could manage a bit. There is no laundry facility in the hotel. When I gave my clothes for laundry, the guy returned in 15 minutes with the clothes. They had just ironed it without washing!!!! The breakfast was very basic and the net connectivity was very poor in my room... It was really only a 1star hotel. The bathroom was old and just passable. Breakfast was basic and no knives or coffee. They are trying to do some updates but the lobby needed cleaning. The windows in the room were filthy. The hotel was quiet but they gave us a room with a view of AC units!. but they were repairing the pipelines, and upper floors. Always too much noise and most of the times electricity was gone and also tap water. Very bad hotel very bad peolple and very derty I have booked the hotel for five nights but I couldn't spend more than one night there imagine for example that there were no available water in the bathroom and I asked the reception about thisproblem and they told me they are doing maintanace for the hotel but the most descusting thing is the derty everywere I have changed the hotel quiqly.
