The accommodation was clean, modern and well maintained. Staff were helpful and friendly. You are a 10 minute walk from the main area of Ubud shops, but it's a pleasant walk. The plus side is it is peasceful and great views of the hills and rice paddies. Putri Ayu also offer free transport when you want to go into town. Nothing is too much trouble. Everything. Staff, comfort, swimming-pool is very nice, breakfast is very preety.

But we cancelled after just one night and went elsewhere. Liked my room and the pool. Occasional air bubble noises from the plumbing/shower drain - but closed the bathroom door and it wasn't obtrusive. The rice fields that are shown in the web site are now built on. So it is not surrounded by beautiful green fields. This was very disappointing for us. Not great wifi only worked at front desk. I booked and paid for a tour through the front desk two days before it was due to take place. On the day of the tour we found our payment had not been passed to the operator. When I queried the staff member who took my payment, I found that he still had my payment. We had a disagreement about it and I then noticed for the rest of our stay we were treated differently. Service : of all tested hotels in Bali, even in same category of price, this one was the worst. Best exemple, reception was not able to call our driver, but the brother of the boss was available to drive us.... Thanks to a nice girl in a bar who did it for us..... Equipments along pool was not clean at all. No more rice fields in front of the hotel.... But just another hotel and works all around. A bit out of way from the happenings... Need transport. You need a scooter to move around. Hotel and facilities were old, many things were broken, no dining facilities, pool wall was slimey, shower was slimey, doors and cupboards were broken and/or wouldn't lock, toilet seat was broken. There were many newer, better options in Bisma Street and elsewhere in Ubud. Asked to pay for stay the night BEFORE checkout, and had to go into town and get cash! Staff couldn't work the card machine at the front desk... Very remote to shopping and nightlife.
