The location is great...can walk to town but removed enough where it is peaceful and quiet...felt very safe also and the design is traditional Balinese'...also the staff was extremely attentive and nice. My frown fell I'll and they are very concerned and sent her toast from breakfast. Also, if you don't feel like walking (5 minutes) to town, they offer free transport. Sometimes we just got a ride. Great budget friendly place to stay!.
all reviews » Very friendly and helpful staff who went out of their way to make sure our stay was smooth. Lovely bungalows with charm and beautiful appearance. The pool area is also wonderful, nick's hidden is located in a nice area about 10 min walk to the busy areas so close enough to get there easily but far enough away to have some peace and tranquility. We loved everything- from the staff to the location to the pool to the view. We were treated with so much kindness- we were offered a tamarind juice upon arrival, our bags were taken to our rooms for us, and we found flowers everywhere and a personalized note on the bed. We felt so special and well taken care of for our entire stay!. the staff was amazing and the garden was beautiful. I was with my mum this time but i will come back with my partner. a special mention to the female receptionist with the blue shirt . Also to Kinor who helped me finding my simcart, amazing service! Great breakfast!. Everything! Beautiful traditional Balinese buildings & furniture, surrounded by rain forest & rice fields but still close to the centre of Ubud. The bed & pillows were hard & there needs to be more ventilation in the bathroom'; otherwise everything else was great. The steep steps make it not a great place for the elderly or very young. The breakfast needed to be warmer but was still nice. Nothing. There were so many mosquitoes at night. They didn't provide any mosquito repellent. Wifi only available in the Lobby and Dinning area. A lot of stairs, not suitable for elderly/disabled. Bathroom is very simple as well as the breakfast. Shower is not very practical - only a hand shower in the bath and no shower curtain. Pillows, no jug or kettle in rooms, internet not in rooms, harsh chemical cleaning products (strong smelling). Stronger Wi-Fi in room would have been nice. - nothing. A lot of stairs and no restaurant in the hotel (only breakfast). - Extra-charge of 3% for creditcard-payment at check-out although the room was booked by creditcard. Nothing. A bit of a walk to the center of Ubud (15-20 min). We booked a double room, and got a twin room instead. They could not give us a double room even when we said this was not what we booked - they did not want to help the situation in any way, they just wanted us accept it. This is not ok, shows a really bad attitude. The bathroom was the worst among the hotels we stayed at. The bed and the pillows very hard!. Many!!! Day 1. Towels with many holes, so old that we normally throw away. Gekko so so big, scary. About 2-4 am made such loud cries that woke us up many times. Day2 Still gekko made loud noises, our sleep was interrupted. Day3 We left the room at 9 am, but when we return at 7.pm, the room was not clean, then we had to wait for 40 minutes ....... Day4 The wifi was so bad there is no connection. Day 5 We changed hotel........
