  I booked a room in Villa Shanti for my recent trip to Pondy with my husband. I booked it after I saw all the amazing reviews that I read but we were disappointed once we got there. Well, to be fair, the place is not bad at all. Rooms are clean, the décor is decent and the service is good but I didn’t think it was worth the 5600 Rs we spent for one... what people say » night. It was just very… plain. Maybe I paid the price for the location? Because it was nice to stay in the French quarter with nice little antique s - I travelled with my elderly parents and we all enjoyed our stay immensely. The hotels ambiance was lovely and it was immaculately clean. Our room, which was a suite was huge and comfortable in all ways, the bathroom was also huge and had the best fittings and amenities. The food is very special and the staff our all very polite and helpful. I want to say a special thanks for bringing me medicine on my last morning there and not even accepting any payment for the same. Thanks for a very special

  Everything...!! It was a great experience we have had there..! The staff was so cooperating, in fact we arrived at 10 am even if our check in was at 2 pm, the staff welcomed us and made us feel comfortable, they had made the upgrade to a suite room with a reasonable price, and made our room available soon..! Also the shopping malls are very close,... what people say » Spencer Plaza is just across the corner, and Chennai Citi Centre and Express mall within a walkable distnace..! The beauty is that we even had a free - We likes everything about this hotel. From the moment we entered we were greeted and treated as celebs.Not only were the bell boys friendly & helpful, all the staff at the front desk, lobbies, restaurants etc were attentive, helpful and eager to please. They are professional and this clearly reflects management's guest friendly policy which we enjoyed and truly appreciate. The chef was at hand and very accomodating.The food at all their restaurants is absolutely delicious.
