We were treated very nicely by the staff at Peerless Inn. And we got our room on arrival even though it was very early Sunday morning. Every one at the hotel was very helpful and kind to us. The hotel is at good base if you are visiting Kolkata. Best possible location in Calcutta. Comfortable and good value. Excellent breakfasts and two good restaurants on premises with others nearby. Staff friendly and helpful, e.g allowing early check-in.

Good location, the door man, security person and bell boys were very helpful. The fresh food in Oceans restaurant was very good but sometimes the buffet selection had been sitting for too long. It was great to have a big cup of good coffee in the morning. The breakfast was very good. Quite, comfortable bed.Clean. Location and Comforts. Ambience and location. Rooms Location. Location. Location. Location is good. No pool, garden or balconies. Waiters in smart restaurant a bit over-insistent. Cocktail bar sometimes reserved for conferences (and a bit cheerless anyway - why decorate it with images of Hitler, Stalin and Mrs Thatcher?). Toalete and sink could be cleaner. Poor wifi connrctivity and no technician to take care of. Too much outside noise and frequest disturbances by Housekeeping staff. Although the hotel advertises wifi this actually only works in reception and does not work in the rooms. I thinknthisvis unacceptable in a hotelnin this price range. It was also an infuriating system that required repeated logging in because it is set up not to remember the user. I also had to get a new log in each day until I made a fuss at hot one I could continue to use for the duration of my stay. Nice to have bathtub but the water was not hot enough. Over priced for what you get. Room a little dated/used. Staff Responce. Food. Staff Attittude esp. Duty Manager's Waiting time before room is allotted even though no guests being there (I agree there was a mistake by bookings.com, but that doesnt mean guests should bear the ire) No staff in the reception, not evn the receptionist (I have video of it) Entry of the hotel. Can be cleaner . Pricey. Food, Over Priced. Very old property... everything in the room seems rubbish and even not working properly, including safety locker, washroom locks etc. In terms of facilities and services and breakfast it was not valueable considering the money you have paid.
