We were making a first visit to the University. Innkeeper Thorri was very helpful and kind. As we walked around Reykjavik, we never saw a better value for this level of amenities and character. We love staying in historic and cultured homes like Gastafell. The 1 bedroom apartment was fully equipped and in a wonderful quiet location but literally minutes from everything. Breakfast was excellent.

  Clean place, great staff (everyone is nice in Iceland!), good beds, great location close to the bus terminal and the city center. Reasonably good value for money, considering Iceland is a relatively expensive country anyway. - Excellent friendly staff. Rooms very clean and comfortable.

  We rented two Hansen apartments (lower and top levels) and found them to be excellent value. Both apartments were extremely clean and just as pictured. We especially liked the fact that the location was terrific. A very short walk to downtown area and famous church. We even walked to the bus station (about 4 or 5 blocks) to catch the Fly Bus b... what people say » ack to the airport...very doable even with children. There was also cereal available (3 kinds in each apartment) and orange juice in the fridge plus - The apartment is really big, which is about 62 sq m. It is so clean and comfortable. The best part is the kitchen, you can find everything there, even for oil, salt, tea bags etc...The host is very nice, he showed us where to go, the supermarkets, shops on a map and welcomed us with orange juice! There is a phone which is connected to the host's cell phone. So, you won't have to worry and there is always someone for you to ask for help during the stay.   Very nice hosts! We felt really great at the place. It was clean, modernly designed. The room was big and the bed comfy :) Internet was working ok. Possibility to use the kitchen, breakfast was good. 5min walk to the city center and the BSI bus station. - Wonderful host family! And the room was very spacious.

  We arrived early, unannounced, and were warmly welcomed and shown to our room even though it was not quite ready. One of the owners proceeded to put the duvets and pillowcases on the bed while we chatted with her, just as a friend might do with a house guest. They really took care of us even though we were only there overnight. As other - Good clean and warm guesthouse. Very warm, casual and homely welcome from owners Edda and Runar. Edda and Runar very helpful in general when I needed to find somewhere in the city or arrange anything.
