arrived terribly late as we were caught in a snow storm driving from

The apartments are equipped with everything you need for a short
vacation or a long stay. The metro station is 5 mins walk away, as are
the starting points for all the tourists hop-on buses. It is located
within the gozsdu court where there are nice cafes and bars around. The
artists market is also fun to walk through. The staff helped us with
information on the sights and transport and even got us discounts on
some bookings.

Rooms very old and tired, not four star, but staff were really friendly and Brasserie very good. No firdge in room I was first allocated not good for four star, I complaned and they upgraded me. We had a wonderful stay at Kalmar Pensio. It is a beautiful 120 year old mansion comverted into a Pension in an excellent location. It is very near the Chain Bridge in Budapest, right behind the Gellert Baths and so easily accessible to all major sightseeing venues yet in a residential area. The Manager, Ester made us very welcome and was very informative and helpful. We had a huge room with a lovely balcony overlooking the garden and a huge bathroom! What more could you ask for?!

It was very good value for Budapest, and the facilities made it an excellent choice for a hot summer break in Budapest. We chose the hotel for its proximity to the Sziget festival and it was a very good choice. Transport links are good for getting into town. Price when booked in advance was good value. It was a great stay in Budapest - the hotel was absolutely great (from
the large rooms to the spa) and I've found the staff very helpful
(unlike a few other reviews I've read). The apartments are very well
equipped and clean. Since it's located in the heart of Budapest
there's a lot of things to do near the hotel and the closest metro
station is a few hundred meters away.
