  I had a very comfortable and enjoyable stay at Ferienhaus Apartmanház Zalánki in Eger, Hungary. Eger, a city of 57, 000 people, abounds with historical and natural attractions. A bus ride from Budapest (Stadion Metro station) to Eger takes only two hours. I spent two days in a a nice, spacious and clean suite with a veranda overlooking the north... what people say » ern part of the city surrounded by hills. While Eger's central area crowded with locals and tourists filled me with liveliness and excitement, this pi - The travelers who find themselves in this garden spot will consider themselves lucky. Fabulous apartment with gorgeous terrace and spectacular view over the old town. Need a car to access but in a very upscale neighborhood high above the city. The host is a charming gentleman who speaks perfect English and serves you wine from his own vineyard which is very good. Apt has everything you could need and lots of room. I hated to leave and would love to return.

  Very friendly and helpful lady - went out of her way to give good advice re sights and dining. We were even greeted with a welcoming glass of local red wine. - Great staff, clean.

  Very helpful staff, and moderately good English speaker, which helped. The restaurant she recommended was very good and again a nice value. The rooms were very clean, pleasant, well accommodated and a very reasonable value. It was a 14 minute walk into town, which was acceptable.   This was an apartment/hotel so breakfast was not included. It was still good value. The apartment was quaint and comfortable and we made use of the kitchen facilities. We were very happy with the location but for some it might have been a bit noisy with people outdoors below enjoying themselves. It was clean, the staff super friendly, ridiculously cheap, and it was in a great location. I loved it here!
