  If you want to experience an intimate an old world Hungarian expereience then the Kalmar Panzio is the place to stay. Forget the sterile comforts of the IBIS and other hotels. The host of the Kalmar is Eztar she is friendly and creates a wonderful atmosphere for visitors with her intimate knowlege of Hungarian culture. The breakfast in the morning is another highlight. - We had a wonderful stay at Kalmar Pensio. It is a beautiful 120 year old mansion comverted into a Pension in an excellent location. It is very near the Chain Bridge in Budapest, right behind the Gellert Baths and so easily accessible to all major sightseeing venues yet in a residential area. The Manager, Ester made us very welcome and was very informative and helpful. We had a huge room with a lovely balcony overlooking the garden and a huge bathroom! What more could you ask for?!
