Viktor! He was completely friendly and helpful. I got there late after a gnarly travel day and he opened my room with a view of Hungarian Parliament at night - the gnarliness dissolved. It was a perfect and quiet location. And walking up from the subway was good exercise.

Fantastic location beneath Fisherman's Bastion with view across to Parliament House. Good choice for breakfast too!

Innkeeper (Viktor) was very friendly, welcoming, and helpful. Location. Room was very nice, clean, and comfortable. Nice balcony.

I simply loved this hotel. The innkeeper Victor is very friendly and helpful. The hotel is located just a couple of minutes away from Fishermans Bastion - a beautiful Place where you can sit in the evening with a fantastic view, a glass of Tokajer and a live-band playing violin-Music. And you also have just a few minutes down to the metro. A warning though: There are many steps from the metro to the hotel. Franklin Utca is just a long staircase. SO IF YOU HAVE ANY PROBLEMS WITH HEART, LUNGS OR LEGS - THIS IS NOT A PLACE FOR YOU! But for anyone with normal health this is a wonderful choice I am 64).

it was very quiet location, very close to the historical part of Buda. Super clean place with nice manager (who is almost the only staff there)

there was no way to communicate with the manager\staff except between 81m until noon! so in case you might need something or even emergency there is no one there! no recommendations almost were given about anything I asked for.

Location was superb and in a lovely and quiet area. View from our room (room 3) was priceless looking over the Danube and Parliament. Viktor was very nice and helpful, including booking taxis to and from the airport.

This place is great! The owner, Viktor, is a very nice guy and was extremely helpful. We arrived late in the evening and he arranged a taxi to pick us up from the airport. The Budavar Pension is clean, quiet and is in an excellent location, very close to the Fisherman's Bastion, Buda Castle and is only a 5 to 10 minute walk from the Chain Bridge. I would definitely recommend this hotel!
