The restuarant of the hotel it's food and it's service overpriced and the food was terrible. The beds were too hard and should have had a mattress pad on them at minimum but they didn't. A shower curtain around the tub would have prevented having to wipe up the floor after using the shower, too. They did not take us from the port and not supply the transport to the port when we leave. From the website there is also not enough information about the exact postion of the hotel. We guess it is at Ferra, but actually it is about 2 miles away from Ferra and without bus station.no pick up service from the ferry port. Not really, all good about the hotel.. only small moan is the steps from the pool to your rooms..but not really a moan. shuttle bus not frequent enough to town. Hard beds. Beds were less than comfortable, more like cots. The hotel was very nice but I think it misses a health Spa.I did not like the attention received some times from reception, thequality of the breakfast was not right for a 4 star hotel. The jacuzziwas no working properly, and the water was coming from the floor, weadvised but it was not fixed. We think the service is not the correctfor a 4 star hotel. The bed was unusually hard and very uncomfortable. The A/C needed to be replaced. The bathroom needs to be updated.we had our room in the recently built part of the hotel which was across the street, so we had to cross the street everytime we wanted to go to our room. It is too far to state "FIRA". It was confusing. You can go no where without bikes/cars. ALthough there is shauttle bus to Fira, frequency was not enough . Not enough restaurants (only one). For a hotel so isolated, there should be alternatives.Our room was across the street from the main hotel and this was never mentioned in the hotel information. The girl on the front desk, everybody else was very accommodating. The hotel is in 2 parts (not mentioned on web site). The part we stayed on did not have access to the 3 pools and restaurants unless we crossed a busy main road so we felt isolated. Not enough loungers for all the guests, especially annoying when they are empty but just draped in towels and the staff tell you there is nothing they can do! Also hotel has countless steps to pools and no lift!. The location. I did not realise it was so far from Fira- and mislead by the address. This became frustrating as we had to then catch the shuttle bus to Fira to eat or shop. When we arrived, I could not find a taxi and was waiting an hour. As I did not know where the hotel was, I called reception and asked that they book a cab. The receptionist refused to order a taxi for me to get to the hotel. Rooms comfort are not compatible with the price. However you forget all of this when you see the views . The best I have ever seen.I suggest the waiters should be more polite and not so arrogant. To conclude more professional (helpful). i strongly recommend they must inform in the website they have another building separated from the main one. Although from outside the hotel is beautiful, the inside of the room looks more like a motel or very cheap one star hotel. There are no energy plugs in the bathroom, dirty, bad smell, three separated small beds while we wanted one king. Remote dirty and did not work properly. Its amazing the difference between the facilities and outside of the hotel and the accommodations of the rooms.the staff were not very friendly, food was terrible and i love greek food but there cuisine was very western without the knowledge so very disappointed with the overall service off the staff and food!. I booked a double room and was informed that the room has a east inland view but was very dispointed when i checked in, as rooms with east inland views were not in the hotel but across the road , these rooms gave us a feeling of being secluded and outside in some guest house . The experience has led a bad taste and I feel cheated as no where on the hotel site was this mentioned .It is completely misleading of that "eat view room" - which is seperated from main hotel that the picture shows, clients have to walk across a busy road, and there is NO vocano view from that building, and no swimming pool, nothing! most of all, I couldn't go to sleep till 2am since the road in front was too NOISY, and I have never lived in a hotel like that on vocation. Plenty (1) we assumed our booking included airport transfers, we gottold on departure (a) we were wrong (b) the hotel had a bus but it wasbooked to do something else (c) we'd had to pay 15 euros for a threeminute taxi. (2) the room allocation was horrendous - when we asked tochange they would only do so at a 30% increase in nightly rate, despitenot being full (3) location no where near town!!.

Volcano View Hotel participates in the Greek Breakfast Initiative by the Hellenic Chamber of Hotels. Please also note that the villas operate for most of the winter season. The winter villa package operates on a self catering basis with once daily maid service only. Summer services like 24 hour reception and free shuttle bus to town are not included in the winter. Breakfast is also not included since the hotel restaurant is closed. The villa manager will greet arriving guests and will be available 24 hours for any assistance you may require.
