The view is priceless, sitting on the balcony people watching with a glass of ?? is what made our trip. We went with another couple and they were in the room next to us so that we could sit out and chat. Although the hotel rooms are basic they have all you need and were cleaned regularly. I would also note the quietness of the rooms I would have expected some noise due to the location - many restaurants and bars - but as soon as you shut your windows it is silent! We hope to return next yea.
all reviews » The balcony view was amazing. You can see all the harbor. The room itself was simple but clean. There is soundproof balcony doors (the harbor is noisy throughout all the night). The staff was helpful, we got some tea for free to enjoy in our balcony. We liked the breakfast as well with a glass of fresh orange juice. I would definitely advice it for other travellers (be sure to book a room with a balcony and sea view). Great location nice simple breakfast with fresh squeezed orange juice. Amazing sea view and surprisingly quiet despite the location on the harbour front thanks to the double glazing. Efficient air conditioning and firm comfortable beds. Friendly and helpful staff. Fantastic value. The location is perfect. The hotel is located at the old port area, and also close to the main bus station and the Nea Chora beach (5 mins by foot). The rooms have a great view - choose to stay at a room with sea view :). The hotel rooms although basic were nice and clean and were cleaned daily. The hotel staff left me use their grill to cook some fish which was very kind of them. Great location for the old town attractions and the busy taverna tourist scene life along the waterfront for a day or two. Location , view of old port. The perfect location. nice view. The mattress was a bit hard for me but that is personal choice as the rest of our party were ok. Also as we were travelling with hand luggage only we cut back on our packing as the facilities mentioned toiletries, but these amounted to two bars of soap. So maybe they should delete that entry. It's not permitted to enter by car to the harbor in day time, so we had to walk with all our luggage from parking to the hotel (~500-800 m). We also had some problem with toilet flush. Decoration and furniture very dated and bathroom ventilation poor. The rooms were small (but quite sufficient). nothing. The shower had only cold water. Parking is about 300 m away. Nothing. If you are a first timer, it may be difficult to find the location because the streets are off-traffic (not a real problem). Its location means that it can be noisy but I would still stay here again. The matrass was very hard. The hotel had taken payment by my credit card without my knowing. Bathroom was super cramped; Confusing to find as there isn't an address other than the street name and the name on the hotel is not spelled the same as the reservation system, we'd booked weeks prior so I didn't remember what it looked like in photo. (Lucia Hotel instead is on top and at the door). Wi-Fi connection was pretty unreliable, weak or non-existent and we were only on the first floor. Bathrooms were kinda small but if you rethink the price you paid, they are definitely fine. Noisy all night round the harbour although double glazing pretty effective in blocking noise. We stayed 2x. The second time the double bed seemed smaller, very small. - very old furniture and no interior design (although bed and pillows were excellent. -17inch low res monitor as TV. - very small shower with no curtains but large plain bathroom overall. - Room door was very old with no sound proofing. Smallish showers but then that's what we found they were like at all places we stayed in Crete. Room and bathroom are small. Staff were not so friendly. the bathroom could have done with being updated. permitting smoking in the hotel. Room amenities are a bit worn out. The female staff could have been friendlier. The men were very happy and smiley but the woman always seemed a bit grumpy. No major issues. The rooms were old and relatively small. The noise of the other guests was really too much ! Also during the night. we ordered one double bed but they gave us two single. the breakfast was not satisfactory, very incomplete. the bathroom was too small and seems old, however clean. the address is not clear and it is too difficult to find especially at night. the view of balcony for triple rooms is not faced to the sea, so there is no good sea view. Old furniture & unpractical room appointment, non working TV (no decoder), broken wc handle, no wc ventilation. Only one older gentleman at reception was friendly and helpful the rest looked like they didn't want to be there. The room and especially the bathroom was very very small. There is no space for your laundry even if it is just the bathing suit. receptionist, room design.
